well i started character on sro-r, enjoyed game, im close to 30lvl but few thoughts are in my head...
1st:
"Increased quest reward EXP/skill EXP for level 70 and below
Item charging and free provision for level 70 and below"
so Jm want us to get used to game than after we hit 70lvl there will be same old grind and farm fest?

2nd.
Bots. Its open beta and more and more bots are online -,- i dont even know how to comment that -,-

What can i say after start i was hoping that "new-old" sro is comming, but after few days im not such an optymist. What do you guys think about it?

First of all:
Yes, after level 70 you'll start getting gold and item drops - just as you've always done. Therefore you will not need tokens anymore.
That being said, it's not just "the same old grind and farm fest".
Need I remind you that the lowered exp and sp requirements, increased exp and sp from monsters and the new extra quests actually rewards you very well, and makes lvling way easier.
As far as I'm concerned, they've also added some new 70+ quests. And even if they haven't - they added a lot of new quests a year ago (maybe a bit less), which made lvling at 70+ extremely easy as well.

Apart from that, you still have the Forgotten World at 70+, from which you'll still get a lot of sp. All in all this means that you should not need to farm at all.

So yeah, I cannot see how this can possibly be categorized as "same old grind and farm fest" :sohappy:

About the bot issue. It's actually being discussed here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=130528&p=1925669#p1925669 on page 3. You might want to go there and see what has been written :)

^Thats somewhat clutching at straws there...

The only change from isro 70+ would be the 2x rates, which is still somewhat of a change i guess, you lvl at half the amount of time.

But the quests from last year don't really help much, the quests really got improved alot from 1-50ish, but after that you would start getting 7~10% per quest, which is good but, there werent enough quests (I barely got to 73 w/ loads of party grinding). There are still some quests around, just not enough to solely lvl from them (if they didnt add more quests to 70+ than lsat year).

If there are already bots on the server than its gonna fall flat- not gonna bother...

You forgot about the fact, that you do not need to farm. That has always been the biggest issue at isro for me. Not the lvling speed itself, but the farming. It takes forever!

Anyway, on my lvl 76 nuker at Aege, I still had lots of quests to do. Of course it starts slowing down, but they are really helping compared to the old quests. And with the additional sp from the Forgotten world, it shouldn't be that bad.

About the botters. It were to be expected, really. You know, the Silkroad community has a lot of developers and they all urge to be the first ones out with a bot. However, the bots that are currently floating around cannot do the new quests, cannot get tokens etc.
It shall be interesting to see how Joymax will handle the situation about the bots. We'll have to wait some weeks before we can say anything about it, though.
But no matter what happens, the legit community at Silkroad-R is the largest I've ever seen since back in 2006. Not even Venus had more legits. Even though the bots are starting to appear, you can actually pm the random people who run around, and they'll reply.
Or you'll get the "sorry" if somebody ks'ed you. I don't know, it just feels good to me :)

I'll definitely stick around. Even in the worst case scenario where Joymax do not do anything about the bots, it's still better to play here than at isro. I mean, lvling twice as fast (if not more because of the no farming thingy) is definitely a great advantage :)

well i hit 95 and 60% on sro and im wondering if i was insane or what back then. So you say we have faster lvl (i heard about 30%, dont know from where you have 50%, but still doesnt matter because of what i want to say next). But did you mention that even botters needed months to take 100-110 in 24/7 eu parties? Not even mention that after few months after update there is only few of 120 on whole isro even with 24/7 bot parties with legend gears...
I celarly se no possibility to hit 110 (what is 120? *-*) using hands even with lower xp/sp needs by hands...
they would have to change whole sro not only low lvls (yes 70 is low for me) to make that game possible to play as it should be. without it and with bot bans, i bet most people wont ever hit cap/visit mirror etc...

As you said, it's hard to ever get to 120 legit. That's why I believe you should stick with Silkroad-R. Even though you're 95 at isro, you'll probably reach 120 faster at Silkroad-R than if you stayed at isro.

On a side-note:
The purpose of the game is to make it really hard to reach the cap. If you reach it too fast, you'll simply not buy enough silk. Most Korean MMORPG's run this way :) Nearly endless grinding.

I agree with you, but joymax/wemade (or whatever it is) should make 60/70 cap at start and then increase it. So legits could have change to pwn server. (own fort etc.)

Oh, about fort. I am quite sure we legits could get a fort quite easily. Maybe even Hotan, if we have enough people. As long as we are not outnumbered like 10:1 or worse, i am sure we could easily compensate 10-15 levels difference. And even if we wouldn't get Hotan at first. It's only a matter of time until we get lv.95+ or maybe lv.101+ and from then on i am quite sure we could take even one of the bigger forts, if we just have more than 2 pts for FW. 4 Lv.95+ legit pts and we'd definitely own the bots, even if they should have some lv.120s already. I can assure you, we'll legits pwn enough, if we just stick to it. Don't give up now.

Don't you always quit few weeks into a server?

Don't you always quit few weeks into a private server?

So far he only quitted private servers that fast, he wouldn't have reached +95 in Isro if he quit a few weeks after the starting playing in it.

No, not really. I usually stay until the very end. On TSRO i stayed until the IP-ban. On KSRO i stayed until essentially nobody for pting at around Lv.7X was left. Also on Azteca i stayed until the very end. I stayed there with some friends long after almost everyone else left. So, i really don't know, what you are talking about.

It may be true that i have quit Silkroad Salvation rather soon, but it was just pointless staying there. And i didn't try any other private servers except Salvation and Zelos, which was shut down rather soon unfortunately. Private servers just don't really seem to keep me motivated, as you get capped way too soon. Also how did i get a Lv.96 character on Azteca, if i quit after few weeks on a server? Since when can you reach Lv.96 in a few weeks on ISRO?
