Mkay! I'm back. Let's start from the top...
1. Chya bro. The consequences will never be the same.
2. Poke My Pickle. .... Indeed, it is OP's tag.
3. Bigger dan yo dick.
4. All the more reason that there could actually be some form of legit collection develop over time, instead of some hasty get together that breaks down in a week.
5. Who said anything about calling it a confederation? And yeah, a union is good... Unless of course you want to try and have more than a single union worth of legits. Maybe start with a union and advance from there?
6. Sorry, I will quote a few of your parts
"everyone is botting in sro r right now"
" in the mean time i'll just play the GAME /*also, I just lost the game*/ and try to do something in real life >.>"
"edit: advertising for a legit forum on a legit forum. WOW."So, you say everyone is botting ... which would include you. Otherwise you'd say "pretty" much everybody. So, it's not very legit when you openly admit to botting.
Also, you say "you'll do something in real life" supporting that idea. And FYI: You CAN be legit and still "have a life". It's called being a gamer. Also; you may want to note that I'm not even "anti-bot" like most legit players. I have lots of friends who bot. I still kill them or DC them when they are AFK though. It's just nice to know you have some people who aren't botting to get ahead of you, leave you behind etc. Just players, playing at a player's pace. THAT was always the issue. While I'd play a few hours after school, work, out with friends etc. the botters were the "no-lifers" who would be leveling out of my party range, and we couldn't party anymore.
7. Indeed. I mean, I would personally benefit by enjoying the game.. With actual parties, worthy PvP and a group of players all leveling at similar rates, since I don't want to bot to have to keep up with everyone else. Because honestly, leaving a bot running on my PC 24/7 while I'm at work, out with friends... That's just embarrassing. I can just picture it now... "Alright, hold up hon, I'll throw a movie on the computer." "... what's that?" "Oh, it's the thing that plays my game for me so I can be better than everyone else without playing..."
So I guess the real response is, if this goes off or doesn't, I don't care. I'll start a legit guild or union, sure. But I wont be there 24/7... I'll be playing other games on the side... That's why I wanted a community that didn't HAVE to be run by one person. Then the rules can thrive even when I'm gone.
8. Sure. The "war against bots" in MY opinion is just, 'Hey guys, want to start a group of people with similar play styles?' 'Like, a guild, but bigger?' 'Yeah!' 'Okay!' With a little bit of 'LOL this guy's not even at his PC. I wonder how many times I can kill him before he comes back raging and calling me a no life noob.'
------------------------
Now that that's out of the way, I'll bring up a few extra points.
MY POSITION ON BOTS: They are easy targets. If I've got a warlock, I'll debuff them and let them die over and over and over again just to see how long it takes for them to rage. I'll go murder on them and see if they fight back. Somebody find a DC glitch? Goodbye goldbot valley. Bots are nothing but punching bags. Targets that wont fight back. I'm a class A troll and bots are so fun to troll.
GREATEST LINES EVER FROM BOTTAHS: "LOL look at this bot. I'mma get him killed." "No you aren't." "Oh, you aren't a bot." "No, I AM botting, I'm just watching it, making sure no-lifers like you don't kill me" "So wait, I'm a no-lifer for being a gamer, and you aren't for not playing a game, but watching it play itself?" "Legit noob! At least I have a life!"
HONESTLY: The irony of someone playing a game and telling a fellow gamer in game that he has no life is ridiculous. Usually a gamer wont call another gamer out on that. And if you make a claim like "Psh, I'm just not a gamer like you noobs" think about it. How many non-gaming community members know wth a bot even is? ... or understand the concept of? I mean, go to a non-gamer and try to explain it. I'm sure the response is something like, "Doesn't that defeat the purpose of playing a game?"
And lastly,
"IT'S A GAME": Exactly. So why don't botters want to play it -_- If you complain about the game being a grind fest, then there's a simple solution. Play a game that's primary gameplay isn't grinding!
Yeah, I might not even play SRO-R when it comes out. UNLESS I have a tight crew playing with me. Honestly, it IS too much of a grind fest for me. My solution isn't botting, it's playing a different game. With a party, the grind fest gets overshadowed by the fun of it all. The mess ups, the joking around, that's where the fun comes in. I don't care if I'm level 60 or level 120, just as long as there's people that I know, at my level, having a good time.
edit that will probably get me banned: My low post count isn't because I haven't been here long. It's because these "legit" forums claim to be "100% legit players and nothing but" yet I can't visit a single thread that doesn't say something along the lines of "Silkroad is 100% botters, no point anymore." How is it that a legit forum nearly 24,000 members strong can be so opposed to the idea of there being even 1 legit on all of silkroad? =/ Seems... fishy...
