Okay, i'm not a botter of course but my friend told me about a bot that who use it can steal from my storage when exchanging with me.
Is that thing existing?

A long time ago we had that bug...when you agree to exchange their bot will automatically take your user ID or something.

But now its fixed I think, even if they know your ID they can't crack your password.

bot cant take ur id if u trade with them =.=
if u play with bot it takes ur id and the nooby hacker who added a keylogger gets ur storage

Well it's not that hard to see if the person's user ID comes across the network to your computer. I doubt the SRO servers send you the user ID of the person you are trading with, but it shouldn't be hard to find out if they do if you have the right tools.

Anything is possible. I am sure some one can do it but most programs like that is never released into the public.

But when you trade, you do exchange some type of system info such as perhaps your user ID because they do log where all things are in the system. But i am sure it is encrypted out the a$$ ( But you never know with the Isro staff ).

Trust me, the tools are public tools. Some are even part of the operating system. Not that they'll necessarily get through encryption, but there are plenty of network sniffing tools out there that are free.

Yes, I'm sure Joymax does maintain logs of various activities that occur on the server, but that does NOT mean that that information is transmitted to the client. In fact, it should not be transmitted to the client, and would not be required to transmit in order to record a log.

They can send a packet saying essentially "this character is trading this item with that character", but in the log, it could say "this char on this account..." Mind you, the log wouldn't display exactly like that, but same idea.

I accept trade all the time, sometimes its just players asking for gold, and at times they offer items and ask for a price. I've never been hacked yet, so I can say its not that easy at least.

Well when you teleport to town, it takes a certain amount of time for the town to load on your screen. You actually appear on other people's screens before you can do things on your computer. So the other person could see you and want to trade, but your screen is still loading so you don't see the trade request until the town is loaded.

Similarly, if I log on, and watch my wife's screen while my character is loading, she can see me appear and get the "guild member has logged on" info in the notice box before I can even see the town on my own screen.

maybe he's just trying to get you interested in the "scamming bot" and offer to let you try, when the so-called "scamming bot" program is nothing but trojans/keyloggers.

Ofcourse, after logging in samarkand e.g. loads slow.. But if i'm playing already and teleport to samarkand it loads in 1 second for me (dual core user). It's simply impossible to send a trade request in that time. It must be a bot.

Could be a bot I guess. However, when you teleport via return scroll, return from thief town, etc. I think your character appears in town to other people even before the progress bar "loading" screen finishes for you. Maybe someone is just sitting near the spawn point waiting for people to appear and then do a trade request with them?

Or maybe someone out there made an exchange-request bot? Same for parties. I often get a party request before town fully loads.

Be surprised what the command prompt can do, plus most tools are user written.

Personally, I think bash can do a lot more than cmd.exe
