wow *claps* greats douchebag, you really pulled of a /thread there. Wow, I'm amazed at your great 2 second speech.

You know, people like you make this world a worse place. You may not realize it, but every SMALL thing you do in life can add up to a HUGE thing.

I mean if there was a beggar in the street, and he asked for only 5 pennies, I bet you would just think, what the hell is 5 pennies gonna do to him and not give it. But if every guy passing would give him 5 pennies, him sitting in a busy city corner, he would make 10 dollars a day. that's enough to eat and live and save a bit for the future.

Anyways, I see how this forum fails. Not cause of the OW EM GEE NO YELLOW BOX, or OMG ZOOMHACK! but because of how people fail to see how small things can add up to make huge things.

Calm down there public crusader.

The error in your situation there is that we don't know the history of that beggar. With Joymax, we know they have a history for being lazy. For not listening to the majority of it's players. That is why he can safely say what he said.

Here is the comparison:
Beggar = Joymax
beg = [don't] want
money = spam mail

LOL wow... you're quick to judge aren't you. All i was doing was telling you the facts. Stop giving these people false hope. I can guarantee you that people have tried emailing them about the exact same thing months ago and decided not to act upon it. Same shit like now. Sure they will get a shit load of emails, but they know if they just ignore it, the problem will go away just like it did in the past.

Oh and btw, your whole speech about the beggar scenario..*clap clap*. That was a very related topic wasnt it?

The should ban gold bots instead. The game is not supposed to be P2P, but F2P if I can remember well...

Either a flame bait or you missed a lot. If 50 banned spammers are everything Silkroad is infected with... mhm...

Some people really thinks this will make a difference. Who let all the clowns out? :roll:

I mean like, do you really think other people haven't tried this before?

I really gotta lol for this one. Extraloob is the biggest bot share web site in Turkey. They also sell all kind of bot too. Just because they added a thread to the "Game info" page, that does not make them all legit. You should remove it from your list.

Honestly, I've played for two years now.

It's been hell with bots and that bullshit, but the real key is, Joymax isn't lazy, its the users.

Sure this wont get far and it will all be forgotten because no one is willing to start a revolution. It cant begin with one or two people saying it, everyone has to start. That's all there is to it. And if you want to flame, bitch and complain, well thats your choice, if you want to help, then do so.

But saying it wont go anywhere isn't helping at all. I'm learning to be a more optimistic person, and I know if everyone tries for a change it will go somewhere.

Consider my mail sent.
But look at them. Look at yourselves. That's the answer to the question of "why it isn't happening".

Joymax is lazy, but the users could've solved itself before Joymax even needs to step in.

I guess both (some) players and Joymax are lazy. Laziness is another global problem in fact but we can't really help XD

Anyway it's good to see some that people are still optimistic (I'm not saying that just about SRO).
Thanks for sending you mail Rip.

So what if it doesn't make a difference and if it has been tried before? Stop acting like you people who have quit the game have some sort of moral/intellectual or anal ascendancy over us who still play it. Waste of time? Hey, you're reading stuff about a game you claim to not care about anymore. You quit the game. GZ. Maybe to you it felt like you had an epiphany but really, it doesn't make you Jesus or Buddha or anything.

If you wanna be that optimistic and pray something will change, then thats good for you. I for one refuse to believe a bunch of emails is going to get them to ban the bots. Like they are gonna be reading and say "Oh wow guys... apparently bots are ruining the game..any of you guys notice this? THANK YOU FOR THE Farking EMAILS ABOUT THE BOTS SHERLOCK!"

I don't necessarily believe it will change anything, been playing long enough to be that naive. Why did I do it? Why ask why? What's there to lose?

Give it up already. It's all pointless. I used to send lots of emails to JM (well written ones). Never got a single reply.

I don't think JM is making a cent on the bots. Everything about Silkroad just screams "neglected". They give you the updates so you keep playing, but that's about it.

Jm isnt making a cent off bots? Really now? I highly doubt people will be inclined to buy premiums as often if the servers aren't 24/7 full by these bots. So you're wrong in that aspect. Their main source of income would come from bots so why get rid of them?

Joymax's contract: "We agree to ban bots as long as you keep buying premium ticket, else we'll ban you too" :D

Thanks to the people who sent the mail.
Let's wait for tomorrow's inspection and see if there is any reaction from Joymax, event if I doubt of It.

As days pass, and posts go on, I can see that there is only a minority of players that cares about a good game environment. And Joymax responses are always the same. I am now convinced that they don't even read our mails (many people got the same mail with the strange smiley "^_^v"). Moreover, some guy of the french forum sent an ironic mail thanking JM for selling bots and gold, and asking them to ban legit players. Well, he got the same answer as us. They don't event read it, and if they did, they didn't care about the ironic purpose.

Things we can do :
- start another mail campaign with a more detailed mail (and avoiding using key words like "bot", "goldbot", "server full", etc.)
- try to find some law issue (for example Magic Pop system is a gambling game, and gambling games are forbidden for underage people) : difficult, time-demanding, must be really well prepared
- avoid buying silk for some time ... but hopeless because most of people won't do it
- leave this Farking game ... surely the best option

all this is just a drawn out version of saying

Hey joymax, can you make sro a proper f2p game, so u make less money out of it so i can play......forget the mass market of gold buyers, botters, silk spammers that profit your "business"....plsssss

Epic fail, and waste of my time! Im all for legits...but this is leshiiiit man

The future of legit sro, is likely on a pserver! not ecsro either btw!

Few things here:

1. Joymax has set the precedence that they are going to put as little effort as possible into this game as possible as far as Customer Support. They made an Email service. With automated answers. They made a solution to full servers. By charging you $20-$30 a month to log in freely. They answered our pleas to ban bots. By banning 50-100 per server each week.

2. The community really doesn't give Joymax a reason to change anything they're doing. They constantly go against the ToS they agreed to when they started playing this game. They bot, scam, cheat, buy/sell gold. Why should Joymax reward the community by giving them what they want. Community needs to change before Joymax does anything. That's my opinion.

Try to reform the community before you try and ask Joymax to give you anything you don't deserve.

Totally agree but few are the ones willing to change. It is because of JM that the community has become what it is today.

Really? So if the majority of your users are botting, gold buying, scamming, editing clients, you're goign to reward them by giving them what they're demanding. I'd let them bitch and continue to reap the benefits of them buying silk.

First we the old and beta players petitioned JM for years. We even had members of this community here who actually worked at joymax and cared for the game. Know what it got us? As a community it got us nothing. Litteraly less than nothing really. The community that worked for joymax either got fired or walked away because they cared about the game/community and did not want to do things the joymax way. When they left joymax replaced them with non community team players. Players that play for team them and not us. They don't care the game is an embarasment. It would in the short term litteraly cost them more to fix than they earn on it. And just in case you didn't know they have no long term plans. Not for SRO. Once the revenue stream is dried up your beloved SRO will be gone. True facts.

Second about it not being all joymax's fault. Really, really, really it is. The botters are not specifically evil people. Simply put they are people with weak morals, minds, and wills. They want to be the best but could never get their on their own. With their weak constitutions they succumb to the worst parts of human nature. In real life there is very real action a community can take. Very real reprocussions for doing wrong. In SRO the community at best can only ridicule and annoy these people. But can really do nothing to keep them in check as there are no lasting negative consequences to the actions they take. The best the community can do is a false paradise like venus. It looks nice on the surface but there are plenty of botters there. They are doing admirable at retarding the growth of the retards on the server but the retards will eventually win. Holding them back is like a single man trying to hold back the ocean tide. If joymax cared they would ban the miscreants or institute some sort of community government ability to allow the community to patrol itself and JM just watch the watchers. Never gonna happen.

In the end you all should re address your emails to /dev/null as it will have the same or greater effects. It is through no lack of effort on the part of the community that the game is the shithole it is. We tried for years. Many including myself held out hope after hope. Though eventually all the smart ones moved on. Move on my friends move on. SRO has alot of promise but not under joymax's control. Make of that what you will. Be it another game or a non Joymax run version of SRO which is always better run than any JM version.
