The empty server has nothing to do with the new update... it's all because of the earthquake.

Have to agree this earthquack killed more goldbots then the update did.. Nevertheless they will be back..

Only positive part about update: Turkey got ip limit ^^

This didnt work. Im not sure if you were around back when they did try that but its a free game. They just make more accounts and the second time, they dont buy silk. Bot banning only works in P2P games or small scale pservers of free games (most pservers dont have this problem). SRO needed to change the bots' ability to just send packets and that never happened, they gave up and do not really care about player bots. Now they just lamely implement measures to slow down gold botting, gold bots NEVER buy silk. Botters do and when you ban them, they charge back.

I don't think charge back is possible in SRO now. Joymax is smart enough not to ban those who feed them. There is no point banning player bots now cuz the game is slowly dying. Joymax won't implement permanent ban anymore, especially those characters Lv100+. Just imagine having char Lv110 even if you bot your way to that level, it will take you at least 5months, around 80% of Lv110+ have been playing with that character for years, banning them won't be a wise move, cuz they will quit eventually especially when their main character gets banned, means less silk buyer.

This is a wise move for Joymax to invite more players in their empty servers. Not only they have killed the gold-farming bots, also made free slots and more silk income cuz gold bots now selling a lot of silk items then botting...

I think that if they'd implement bot banning based on a warning system:
1st offense: 1 day suspension
2nd offense: 1 week suspension
3rd offense: 1 month suspension
etc.
a lot of the player bots would switch to legit play before the 3rd offense. Combine that with a change in the amount of xp/sp needed for the higher levels, and iSRO could still be saved IMHO.

Honestly if someone is hacked, friendless and naked, grinding blues was a great way to get back on your feet and they took that away INSTEAD of actually addressing the problem properly.

Wizards for example sometimes have no choice but to grind on blues and now we cant because it's a total gold loss to do so.

I dunno about you but i always got xp from blues...not as much as i would from white/green but some. If you're solo, a green giant spawning on a LC wizzie = dead wizzie.

Exactly. If all the mobs in the caves are 7+ levels below you, why are you even in the caves? Just 1-hit everything in sight so no one else can play? Oh, right... Taxis... Taxis should be used for helping transport friends from one location to another (e.g., have some friends trace you from Hotan to the ferries for Roc Mountain), not for leveling.
