So based on what I've heard about this new SRO-R and their plan to keep both versions of SRO running. Is iSRO now officially bot-SRO and SRO-R legit SRO? Is that their stance on the game now? If you want to bot, play the old iSRO. If you want to handgrind, play SRO-R and we'll keep that version bot free? Guess they gave up on the old and just decided to narrow the servers down so it's easier to manage.

Once SRO 2 is released, SRO-R will slowly be abandoned like ISRO is now.

Well, they introduced some "green" campaign on isro, so I doubt they're abandoning it. And by the way, as long as they still make money, they will not abandon it, lol.

There is nothing to guess about....They would have to care in the first place to have given up.

Observe the pattern people....First they created G-Servers..P2P that will be better managed hoping you will start over...Then SRO-R ...wanting you to start over again with claims of a better game...Then they announce that SRO2 is in the works...They want us to continue riding this merry-go-round and leave our credit card with them.

I suggest we all stay where we are...No matter the server no matter the version...Just stick to it because Joymax have a great track record of re-creating garbage...They claim this or that version will be refined and then it turns into the same crap...bot infested crap.

I thought the hackshield update was a good sign, but there are already bots back. Same bots for 2 days in a row so they haven't been banned.

Yeah, after the hackshield update, GMs logged into Hotan and asked if this had helped on the bot issue. I think they honestly believed it would have :P

Hackshield... really? Still? I remember back when they use to update hackshield for iSRO. My union would be offline for like 1-2 days, then everyone would come back the moment their bots were updated. Hmm owell, glad I didn't bother with SRO-R. I'll just stick to Skyrim until I find a new mmo to kill my time.

Agree, if you wanted to play Silkroad-R simply because you hoped there would be no bots, then you shouldn't bother joining. That being said, so many other aspects of the game are so much nicer now. But yeah, it's a matter of opinion, I suppose.
I do understand that you're kinda disappointed if you thought there wouldn't be any bots.

I didn't expect no bots, but I didn't expect it to be exactly the same as isro in that regard.

the good thing is that even though JM arent doing their best...

the community is. There will always be a community here all long term legits here truly admire all other long term legits.
The best part of SRO for me was meeting you guys right here.

+1

If it weren't for few veteran players left on my server that I know from the days of the lvl 70 cap as wells some of the veterans here on SRF I doubt I'd still be hanging around.

1 hour on auto login. I'm gonna give this another chance when the beta ends, but either way when GW2 is out I'm heading over to that.

Well i don't see anyone willing to handgrind themselves to 120, even with the double rates. I've been there (isro), had a 97 nuker, and the grinding is just awful. You really have to be devoted to keep on going, but eventually life kicks in and u stop beeing a zombie. I stopped playing and gave away my acc.
But yeah, this game is over. It's more like their last stance to keep Silkroad alive, although the game died a long time ago.

they need to ban the bots. if they dont ban the bots, this forum should be changed to "we-are-fed-up-of-silkroad.com"

this forum is a small minority, whether you like it or not the real silkroad community is bot based. anyway banning wont do anything people were lvl 70 in 72 hours. they need to ip limit 3 per household worldwide. and if you say you need more cuz ur family plays with u ur a bold face liar, shame on you. my parents dont play computer games, they work to feed me, put clothes on my back, and keep a roof over my head. and no they arent day laborers that struggle, they are medical professionals. anyway moral of the story we need to ip limit and strictly ip limit. im sure people's parents do the same in turkey and egypt as they do over here in USA.

imho, even with a lot of players using bot, without goldbots it is much more playable and this is already great, comparing.

almost the entire BGH guild has now moved to silkroad salvation now. we are all so fed up with the bots we cant do it anymore.

Kush sent out a global asking for legits to join his guild and he got hundreds of pms from bots just laughing at him and his attempts to keep up with the botting community.

I gave up once i got to bunwhangs and saw train after train of bots walking around hotan and trains of bots at bunwhangs plvling other chars.

Angry Sungsungs are already crowded with bot plvls to get academy buffs and to top things off i saw this on the facebook page of sro-r

we can't just ban bots in game. A thorough investigation must be made before the player gets banned. But we are trying to eliminate bots in game.

thorough investigation needs to be made? obvious botters are fking obvious.
