When to use Elixirs.

I was just wondering; when should I start upping my items with elixirs? Would it be a "waste" to use them on lower degree stuff?

Personally, I don't think you should use elixirs until you reach about 4/5D. No point in buffing up an item you're going to discard in a relatively short period of time.

save all your elixirs until higher lvls. Then buy cheap clothes and weapons with good stats and + em up. Then use until next lvl and sell for good cash for next degree items.
