first off once again sorry about starting yet another thread based on "the same old shite" , but trying to use the word silk in search....and you'll see why i'm asking.
until.. well just now i hadn't thought at all about buying silk, but by chance i came across the "buying silk guide" on here and saw it's not all that expensive at all..and you see where the threads going...
is buying silk worth it?
i hear about how people wouldn't play with gt or monkeys all the time ingame as it is, and on forums like this one alot too.
i'm one of those people who'd rather have few opinions on something than rush headlong and regret doing it, so whats people thoughts? and are theses items worth it?
my other question is, how safe is buying silk ?
cause if i were to buy it it'd be through my brothers paypal account, and i'd like to be sure nothing can happen due to me merely buying something a trivial as ingame currency (if i can call it that ?? )
thanks

it is secure as long as you dont share your info with other people. not even your email or login name. dont share those info.
silk i guess its worth it. 80silk=$8 for the monkey pet to collect your stuff and lasts for 27days. it makes the game a lot a lot faster as you dont have to waste your time picking up things left and right, you just move on and your pet collects. not only that, but your pet will also collect other players stuff that they didnt collect or left behind. the pet will get you gold. its as simple as that. then its the GT it costs 130silk= $13. and this also makes your lvling up a lot faster as you get twice the points. those two items are wroth it in my opinion. the rest you can decide as you go. for example, i have a som bow and im farming, and i choose to add some immortal and astral to it and now my bow is som+5. which helps me a lot when i farm.
but like i said, GT and pet are worth it.

Well
like said above if your going to get silk then a Monkey and Gold Ticket
will have you lving up 100% faster then before and save you the hassle
of collecting other peoples items (stealing them that is...lol)

I never bought silk and I never will. I still had loads of fun while playing, so in my opinion, silk is not neccesairy to enjoy the game.
Besides, you can't miss what you don't have.

I LOVE the item mall. I use it all the time. Im not sure exactly if its how great the items are or the fact that i use to look at the item mall and think ill never be able to get anything from it. All I know is, first time i played i reached 21 and could NOT stand leveling anymore. now im not positive if it was the fact that i was the most crappy build you could ever imagine, it practicly ruined the game for me. either way, i got my first gold ticket from starting the new character (My older character was from way before the noobs get the free tickets when you start) i was hooked. Ever since ive been leveling like crazy, my old character i got to 21 and i was sick now im level 39 and still actively leveling.

well i've got to level 39 without ever think of buying it
and only thought about it due to a order having to be canceled (company couldn't supply the items and never explained why )
70usd = 35gbp (roughly) which = 700silk
that'd be a one off thing for me, i'd have to resist buying 4week gt/st, and save it for a bunny.
tbh the gold/silver time never made sense to me, but the hp/mp and arrows in the item mall make alot more sense ....
last question (and cheers for the replies ) ,but is the paypal account being a different email address to my sro account going to cause a problem?

The only things that are really worth it from the item mall are 4 week GT's, Collecting Pets (monkey/squirrel/bunny), revival clocks for those pets, and immortal/astral if you wanna pimp your weapon/armor. Everything else costs too much for the amount of time you end up using them for.
Quiver of arrows = 8 silk. Sure its a minimal amount of silk, but i only get 4-5 hours of grinding out of it, and at the rate my bunny picks up arrows, its really unnecessary.
Pots (500 stacks) = about 50 silk for large (i think, cant remember). Also dosnt last as long as you think it will. May as well just get pots on a 'per grinding session' basis. They really dont cost that much in game.
So if you take advantage of those 2 (well 3 if you get hp\mp) items above you will have a lot more personal inventory space but really, what will you use it for?
I take out 10 stacks of HP, 13 stacks of MP, 10 stacks of arrows, few stacks of uni's, my horses, recovery kits, return scrolls.....plus a row or 2 of pots in my bunny and i still have lots of space to spare between me and my pet to stay out for hours on end if i wish.
I really see no point in spending real money on anything in the mall besides what i said in the 1st bit.
My 2 cents
EDIT: oops. No, the paypal account email does not have to match the account email.

As an Archer (my main Character) I got a quiver of 10,000 Arrows.
I keep it with me as an "emergency backup" if I run out. Most of the time i use Arrows my Squirrel picks up.
Any of the Pets to pick things up are worth it, and are worth reviving when needed.
MP/HP Stacks - Have used them, in the short term it saves you a bit of Gold but overall if you have a pet you should always be picking up enopugh gold to buy Pots from the Herbalists.
White Wolf
Yes I have one. No they are not worth it.
I have also used the Skill Point Reallocation Potions (I really messed up where my Char was going and needed to adjust it).
I have used a 1 Day GT to help with a particularly long grind. Not too sure about the 4 Week GT, if you miss a day you lose it.

Oh yea, i forgot about the reallocation potions. Before i farmed i leveled by bow mastery from 55-64 just to 0 gap and get my new bow. When it came time to delevel the mastery back to 55, i used the reallocation potions because that was a lot of SP wasted if i did it via the cursed hearts quest. I got back over 6k sp by using the item mall there.
1 day gt's are good for convenience, you can use them according to your schedule and that is definetly a benefit. But if you are planning on using more than 10 within a month, you may as well get the 4 week. If you miss a day with the 4 week, it carrys over to the next day, but you have to use the time within that next day, or its gone.
