I'm pretty much a newbie to this game, I've played off an on for about 6 months now (About a month longest at one time), but I've decided to take this game a little more seriously... a lot more seriously :)

These questions might have already been answered, so posting the link will suffice, but I'll take any direct answers as fact.

Anyway, is it true that the Bicheon Shield Tech series has changed a little bit, from not doing anything while using it to being able to fight and move around as well during the duration?

Does it apply with the Ice/Fire Wall series also?

The Fire Shield series (Downgrading Abnormal Status Effects) says it requires a shield to use, so is Ice Immunity and stuff of the like still possible for higher levels for classes without a shield (I have a hunch on how to bypass, but I'm not sure if it's right)?

On another note, aside from the questions, I'd just like to say this about a few opinions on bladers:

First,
I read on a sufficient amount posts (to make me point this out) that people don't like to use the Heaven Chain (5-Hit Backflip) because it consumes too much MP, and would rather instead use Ascension Chain (4-Hit Spectacular) because it uses less MP.
The same people that said this (+ the majority of the opinion of others) also said that going fire is the better investment because the extra damage is "required." (In quotations for a reason)
Logically speaking, that is extremely contradictory. Paraphrased: "C'mon guys, let's try to do the most damage by cutting down on the highest hitting skills." There is definitely something wrong with that.

Second,
I've always been a fan of going "Pure" and not "Hybrid." Bring the best out in one attribute to be the best in one, specialized task. How does this connect to bladers? No, not the Str or Int build, but Fire vs. Ice choice. Bladers are renowned for their tanking ability. Fire is more or less the offensive Force, whereas Ice is just the opposite, for melee anyway, might be different for Nukers/Bowman.
So, my opinion: Ice Blader. The point of the blade is to tank. Ice, IMO, makes a pure tanker, not a hybrid like Fire. Make them unable to hit you, and when they do, they get blocked or the damage is reduced even more. I know the opinion around here is to Burn, but if you really wanted damage, then why even choose the blade? Glaives were made for that, not a little poking stick and a shield, even if it is on fire.

Btw, I'm running a Blader with Ice Primary, if that wasn't already apparent.

Lengthy post, thanks for reading.

yes you can move around and fight with the shield skill

i think with fire/ice wall you get stuck and can just repot without dmg

glaviers or spearmen can equip a shield, cast the buff and equip glaive/spear

no idea what you mean by that i must have not read those posts..
but it could mean that they rather hit high a lot than hitting extreme
just once in a while.

you want damage on the blade because that is what the
bladers lack. simple as that. you want to be able to level up
and to pvp. if you lack damage you cant do that

Yes the Heuskal/Bicheon tree have changed.

Heuskal tree - increase magical defence (for quite a bit :P) for 15 seconds.
Bicheon tree - increase physical defence for 15 seconds.

You can move around but it has like nearly 1 mil cool down, so you can't use it repeatedly.

Fire wall and Ice thing haven't changed. That skill is buggy. If you're ranged (like nuker, bower) you can attack while casting that skill, but it wont' always let you. Buggy Buggy.

Usually people add both heaven and ascension chain. I think the whole point of the chain is to let you use them 1 by 1, so the attack flows. Which one to use depends on what mobs you fight. For example, If you can kill the mob with 4-chain, there's no need to use the 5-chain.

I see you're a ice blader. I'm sure you know a lot :) but just in case you didn't, you'll need fire tree for physical attack dmg buffs. Lots of ppl are lazy so they just use fire imbue (since you have to level fire tree anyway).

Ice bladers are ownage but it'll take you a biiiit of SP farming and a better weapon for greater dmg output.

Good luck :D

Sweet. Answered my questions.

Good to get a different viewpoint, helps clarify a lot of things.

I will be getting fire skills, and SP isn't an issue, I don't intend to max for a loonnnggg time anyway. :P

Thanks again, to the both of you.
