I have been putting all of my stat points into strength, not really sure why, I just assumed it would make me do more damage. I find myself running low on mana very quickly, should I be putting more into int?
This is basically up to you but the way your going you are heading for a fullstr char which all in all isn't a bad choice. You of course could add 10-20 levels or more to INT if you do so wish. I was a pure INT but decided adding STR very recently.

I get skill points faster than I know what to do with them, should I be saving them? I have like.. 150 or so saved up. The rest are in Pacheon I have all of the skills I can get in there, for the most part, a few in cold to get the ice-weapon thing, and then some in whatever the tree is that lets you heal yourself (which I don't find myself using that much). Should I invest these excess skill points into other weapon specialties, other elements, or just focus on a select number of things?
150 isn't many, later on it's thousands for one skill. To increase the amount of SP you get you use a process named "farming" it's simply keeping a gap between your main level and your mastery so if your lvl 16 and your lowest mastery is is 7 you have a 9 gap which is the highest to go. You will rank slower but you will need this SP later on.

When I'm running around killing stuff, I find myself mainly just shooting my bow, without using any special abilities, or at least not very many, unless I want to spend my time sitting down (what's the fun in that?). I tried buying a ton of mp/hp restoration herbs and turning the auto-potion feature on and spamming abilities like crazy, but I burned through 6000 gold worth of consumables in no time. I have 20,000 gold is that a decent amount for level 12?
Pots are expensive but worth it, if you can't afford them just use attack skills, save the buffs for when you can.

I've been getting tons of tablets and things that seem to be used in Alchemy, am I safe in assuming that pretty much anything I get at such a low level is safe to sell to a vendor, or could I potentially make more money setting up a stall full of this stuff
Tablets will sell, but if you make them into stones you will get a better price, also keep alchemy items and make elements with them. wind 2 is worth 2k each if you get any (on Sparta server anyway)

No one seems to talk in this game. Every once in a while someone will invite me to a group, I will say hello, and no one will even say hello back. Am I missing something? Is persia not an english speaking server or something?
Find a guild with people you know and trust.

One more thing, I noticed the Item Mall is some sort of real $$ for in game items sort of thing, which I understand that's there way of making money off of a "free" game. I'm just wondering if it is something that ever becomes required to be successful in the game, or if it's something that can be made up with a little extra in-game work.
I use the item mall and find it useful but you can get by without it, many do.
