I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that it is both quicker and cheaper to just shop around for a few days/weeks whatever and buy pre pimped weapons.

The Alchemy system is so fewking random it's not even worth bothering IMO.

the only thing that seems to work more often than not is low level ++ but once you get to 3 or 4 the success rate drops right off to 5% or so.

JM really stuffed that up IMO, it's already time consuming and expensive enough to buy or grind all the elements you need to make a stone, then they fail most of the time, and aswell they usually take out other stats so you have to start over..........makes ya wanna slit ur wrists after a few tries.

Unless you have a few hundred million that you don't mind wasting, start shopping :D

Kinda agree, kinda don't. If JM made the Alchemy system easier, than everybody'd be running around with SoSun+9's, and then, where's the pride in that? :P
However, I do agree with you that at times, Alchemy is a total waste of money. If you want to reassign your Phys, you just gotta keep using Courage Stones until it goes up - nothing else you can do. If you have to spend millions, you just have to spend millions. :(

Keep in mind, though, that each weapon has a pre-determined success, or luck value, as it clearly says in the SRO Beginner's Guide, or Manual, or whatever it is that they give you when you do that Sonhyeon quest at Level 1. Some weapons will go up to +7, no astrals, no immortals, no nothing, just straight up, because they have a great pre-determined succses, or luck, value. Some will take you 100 weapon elixirs just to get to +3.

And steady stones don't exactly grow on trees either!
I've not seen a single one since I've started playing, admittedly I'm not trying super hard to find one, but from all accounts they aren't that easy to come by.

You have to rondo destroy items to get them right? (not too sure now that I think about it ) )

Steady comes in Tabs, you can make them with elements. The reason you dont see a ton of them around is because their demand isnt as great as the other stones, and the elements used to make steady stones are somewhat costly.
