If the same mobs in question are still green either way, namely bandit archers and young tigers, can a player farm just as well at 18 as 16? The main disadvantage being the chore of deleveling must be done more often?

The reason for this question is new players like myself cant afford a Seal of Expensive bow yet and must make do with a lvl 18 +4 or +5 bought or made for 1 to 2 million.

Maybe after once or twice going from 18 to 20 and back again then the nice SOM 16+5 can be afforded. Then of course going all the way back to 16 would make the best use of such a weapon.

So, to sum up and rephrase, is the level down that you delevel based more on the weapon you have to use, and if no SOx weapon is available can you grind just as well at 18 instead of 16. Thanks for reading my long and repetative question.

P.S. If a player NEVER intends to go back to 16, he can up his masteries to lvl 9 and max the first imbues/skills available and thus kill mo' betta' :D

U gotta understand the reason of farmin at 16 .... its the EXP/SXP tat u get while farming at 16 ....
So lets c u lvl up to 18 which means ur fightin mobs that are 4 lvls lower (bandit archers) which measns ur EXP/SXP gets lower.

Hope this clarifies.

Color does not affect xp/sp, level does so you will lose out on a lot of sp if you farm at 18. After you get the nice bow, delevel, go to young tigers and farm there, much more time friendly.

If you farming @ bandit archers with lvl 18,you dont lose any exp/sp,it's the same as farming at lvl16,but after lvl19 you are going to lose like half of exp/sp
I hope I made my self clear -.-'

The point of sp farming is to take advantage of 2 things

your weapon and spawn rate.

At level 16 a sos bow is cheaper than at level 52.

At level 16 there is a mob with the highest spawn rate in the entire game that with that sos bow you can 1-2 hit.

I just farmed at level 52 with an sos+5 bow, but for sp per hour, I would have made more sp at the den because of the spawn rate and ease of kill.

Thanks for all the input. I will have a SOs bow within a week [7 million saved so far any sellers on athens?] and when I delevel I will pause at 18 to make screenshots of the SP earned and then go to lvl 16 and make more screenshots.

Then I will compare the cost and time required to save up and buy the SOs [for me 3 weeks, more serious player about a week] as a totally new character, with the ease and affordability of getting and using a 18 +4. Plus I would note that finding lvl 18 bow with good crit is easier than SOs with good crit since there are many more lvl 18 bows to buy and pimp up.

When I get totally set to start farming for sure, I plan to make a mini-guide with my observations for fellow newbies who plan to start a STR character with a 9 gap and SP farm with a bow.

After the update I think maybe SOx bows will get much cheaper anyway since you can buy and repair them for a limited time with the new honor points system.

To sum up, I think a player who intends to delevel for sp farming must have a SOx bow to go down to 16, otherwise going back to 18 and using the much cheaper 18+4 bow for one or two times untill a SOx bow is gotten is prudent.

Screenshots posted as soon as I get the bow and delevel.
