So.

I've basically changed from playing WoW to playing SRO [even though I still play WoW]. It's a pretty interesting contrast, seeing as SRO has far better graphics but is in serious need of a better set up // in-game help guide // in-game moderation [[ :banghead: ]], but anyways.

I'm kind of curious to know how the whole gear thing works. Like, in WoW [as most of you may know], you raid and do instances to get the best possible in-game gear. How does that work in SRO? Do you just rely on drops and enchants? I'm pretty curious about it and I've been searching the forums for help for about two days and have failed miserably for already posted forums on this matter.

Any help is greatly appreciated, and I apologize for being an uber noob.

yea you completely rely on drops from mobs or you can buy stuff in stalls, on this website:
http://sro.mmosite.com/database/monsters/china.shtml
you can see what lvl items they can drop, but the chances of getting an item arn't that big =/

then there is alchemy, here is a guide: http://www.silkroadforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=32453

everyone is a noob at start ;)

[edit]: btw what server are you on? (Put your server name under location in profile to get a flag)

I'm on the Hercules server, but I'm moving to a new server called Mercury tomorrow when it comes out.

And thanks for answering - it's a huge help.

LOL ^^

Basically, there is no in-game moderation. SRO does not make billions per month from its millions of customers like WoW.

Want more mods? Buy stuff from the item mall !
The item pets are probably the best MMO idea, outside of automatically getting the loot (i.e. FFXI)

Ahhaha, yes, thanks for all of your help.

And yes - the pets that pick up items automatically are definitely one of the best creations ever. It's just a shame that you have to buy silk to get them.
