Experience of mobs during quests.

I heard that during quests you don't get as much XP for each mob, and without quests you get a pure amount.

How much less experience of mobs during quests do we get? I am sooo confused

Ive never heard of this.... Mayb you got this info from a false source... Personally ive never noticed a difference
