The order of the drinks is completely random as far as I know.
If you run out of drinks and fail then you can just go back to the Herbalist and Adventurer to get some more. I lost count the number of tries it took me.

I did a google search for the combination and found several that were said to have worked. I tried the one the popped up the most times during my search, but I can't remember the combination.
