 Post subject: Magical Attack Power, +1s, etc.

I am a nuker and confused about magical attack power and +1 +2 etc weapons.

Say I have a blade with 3 intelligence, a sword with 2 intelligence and another sword that is +1. Being a nuker I want to use the one that will improve my magical attack the most. According to my character sheet strangely the +1 sword adds the most attack power, the INT3 blade adds the least attack power but increases the magical/physical balance the most and the INT2 sword is smack dab in the middle. The magical attack power stat on the INT2 sword and the +1 sword are about the same.

So what I want to know is what will make the nuker more powerful, a higher magical/physical balance or higher overall magical attack power? Would the INT3 blade be better for the magical balance or the +1 sword for the magical attack power?

I never actually use the sword or blade I just need whichever will add the most damage to nuke... What should I go for when buying weapons for a nuker that doesnt actually use the weapon?

+3 int prolly doesn't change your balance all that much. I think the +1 would be slightly stronger. I would at least +3 if i was you.

There is a formula posted in this site to calculate the damage but I'm too lazy (and busy) to track it down.

I have discovered (common knowledge to some) to achieve the highest possible attack power get the highest LVL weapon possible (eg +1, +2, SOS and mag/phys AP stones help a lot) and on garment/armor/protector and accessories the LVL matters none compared to blue INT/STR. For example one Could be LVL 70 with a LVL 70 ring with no extra blue INT/STR, a LVL 1 ring with INT/STR 3 and the higher attack power (magical/physical) would be achieved with a LVL1 STR/INT 3 ring versus the vanilla LVL 70 ring.

I could care less about the physical/magical defense attrib (I nuke monsters before they get to me). So when shopping for items get the highest lvl weapon (+1, +2, SOS, etc) and the highest INT/STR wear possible to achieve the greatest possible attack power.

A buying strategy for those of us without 10s or 100s of millions gold at disposal is to spend majority gold on best weapon possible, then whatever INT/STR armor similar to character LVL one can find and look for any 100% INT/STR ACC (even if it is a LVL 1 ring) available. I remember doing this on my LVL16 pure STR blader with only book1 lvl1 masteries and an LVL16 SOS blade/shield and being ungodly powerful all things considered. I could wipe out bandits in mobs of 6 or more in a matter of seconds and farm SP uber quick.
