The higher level you are, the % you lose although it may be the same number.

I know that you lose more exp (a percentage)...
Is that percentage constant or does it change at higher levels?

if you mean caping then you don't lose any exp, if you mean jobbing then you lose a lot less if you are killed by players. (i think dying from npc thief is the same as dying from mobs)

You Always Lose 2% but the actual amount of exp lost increases to make it that it is 2%, you lose less exp from a death in a job (ex. Hunter kills you when your thief) NPC thieves DONT count as this AND you DO lose the regular amount of exp, Cape fights dont give any loss, and Murderer or Offender status makes you lose alot at once

As you level higher, you actually lose less % of your level even though the amount of exp lost is higher. At 76 when i die, i lose about 450k exp when i die at yarkan, which is like 0.25% of my level or so.
