How much do the mag/phys absorption on accessories affect the damage you take? Just wondering if the difference between like 1st and 3rd tier of a degree's accessories is a noticable difference in damage taken. Or if you know the formula with which this is calculated it would also be helpful.

From what I have noticed, the difference is huge.

For example, have a friend nuke you with all your gear on. Then have him nuke you with your chest off. Then have him nuke you with your chest back on, but with your necklace or another jewel off. Large amount of damage.

If your talking about d8, the difference is pretty big.
So if I were you, yes get the 3rd tier of d8 accs.

The mag power of my blade 56+3 is 705. With a mag reinforce 166.3%, and with 207 Int comes from my build, the bonus mag power when equip the weapon is 207*166.3%=344.2. So my final power when equip the weapon is 705+344.2=1049.2.

mag power (when weapon equiped) = mag power (weapon) + mag reinforce (weapon) * Int

Same with phy reinforce but apply with str.
Same with reinforce for defensive equip

Uh frizzner that has nothing to do with the question.

When I was lvl 37, I did an experiment and the difference in damage taken with 1 piece of jewelery removed was almost the same as taking off a chest piece. Of course they were not of equal level and the chest was garms and I was testing it on a physical mob. But it was close. Bottom line is I now get the best accessories I can afford.

And at least give credit to the one who did that particular test which you took the screenshots from. That was NuclearSilo's post from an old reinforce thread.

Accessories make a HUGE difference. With fully pimped accessories from the last tier of 8D, i did a little test. Now i dont remember the numbers exactly, but its easy enough for anyone to test. I had a lvl 64-65 nuker friend with a sos+7 spear, i was lvl 76-77 at the time. With all my garment on, and fully buffed, they did like 3-4.5k damage to me. I took off all my accessories, and got hit for dam near 11k. I was amazed by the difference.

Bottom Line....get the best accessories you can.
