welllllllll

blader = tank. they have the highest physical defense of all chinese characters.
now, the only thing that can really, really hurt a blader, is a nuke since bladers
are str based (pure str). since the bladers have a high physical defense, the
armor is not necessary. but due to the fact that they have put all their stat
points in int, they lack quite a bit of magical defense. to make up for this,
they wear garments.

Fixed. Cin got it right, though.
Coming from a Blader, I'll assure you that your Physical Defense is already high enough. Which is usually a good thing, considering that 90% of the Mobs in China are physical-based. However, since all your points are in STR, you obviously lack quite a bit of Magical Defense. INT-heavy builds are vice versa. To make up for this lack, most STR-heavy builds use Garment.
Garment also has the added advantage of giving you a 20% MP Reduction, and since STR builds are heavy on HP, and short on MP, the Reduction is certainly a help to keep you from running out of Mana, at times. It also has a 20% movement speed increase, which considerably speeds up your grind. So why not use Garment? Besides, most people think that the Garment is sexy. 8)

If you're new to being a Blader, you might want to check out my guide, hehe: http://www.silkroadforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=43909

Any chinese character can wear what ever he or she wants. Euro characters cannot, but that probably is not what your asking.

Wait is it true taht most monsters in sro are Physical? and not magical? Im not really concerned about pvp really. But wont bladers have a higher attack because of the higher physical reinforce? And Im sure it will be useful agaisnt other bladers and pure str builds right?

depends what monster, most whack you, so physical, some things shoot you, e.g. bandit archer are physical, but some are magical, not exactly sure what (I'm not that pro yet :P)

If your talking about the reinforce on armor/pro/garm they only affect the defense of your gear, only a weapon's phy reinforce affects your damage.

As a blader myself i say without a doubt you should go garms. Along with the fact you get a bonus to move speed and less mp used (which is convient because your mp pool will be low) the extra mag defense will help vs mag mobs and nukers. Also IMO the extra phy def you get with armor is really overkill since many if not most fights with other pure str builds will become pot fights in garms alone. Not to mention that vs phy dmg mobs they still will hit low in garms due to your high phy balance.
