Type of armor for pure str glavie?

I am currently using armor but I'm thinking of changing to garment because ive been wasting too many mp pots, im too slow, and I take alot of dmg from magic attack monsters. Is this a good idea or is armor better? :banghead:

well im a pure str glaive to but im still going armour because recently i bought a seal of sun armour head lvl 67.
