I'm curious if anyone knows what effects the "resist" chance.
It was really frustrating to get the bard skill Holding Clamor, only to have it work poorly. Giants, champions, and party mobs my level seem to resist about 9/10 casts. If it does stick, only holds for a sec, not the 10 sec advertised in the skill description. I am pure Int, so I'm hoping Int does not effect resists.
I'm considering playing with Str/Warlock combos. As suggested in skills section, several others are attempting Warrior or Rogue + Warlock. Sounds good, if resists are not effected by Int.
Last thought... would a skill like the chinese fire status reduction (flame body?) help a char to resist these debuffs?

OH... can't attack? Not quite as effective as I had hoped. Still, thank you for the tip.
Any info on resists in general?
