As far as I know this problem is caused by Windows Vista in combination with an incorrect NAT implementation on your router. I fear that I have so far not found a solution to this problem, though for some people it helped to set the connection to fixed IP addresses, while others found it useful to use wireless connection for one computer and a wired connection for the other. Alternatively, borrow a router from a friend to see if that solves your issues. Some routers have these problems, while others do not.

As for the message: it just means that the SRO server cannot distinguish between the connection from your own computer, and that of your brother's computer. The NAT router is supposed to take care of this, but for some odd reasons NAT routers and Windows Vista do not get along too well.
