I have played played SRO for a long time and never had any problems until now. I got to install and the installation pops up after a few minutes of waiting. Then I click the next or install button or whatever and then it has the thing where I put where i want it installed. I say my programs files and silkroad folder. But when I press install, it freeze for a second and it says it had an error and it needs to close. It has two options, Debug or Close. I have tried both and ever tried re-downloading the whole installation. Nothing has worked, I need help.

This is what error I am receiving. SilkroadOnline_GlobalOfficial_v1_170.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Some friends have encountered your problem. Even JM acknowledges this. Check all online documentation that JM has regarding this thing. A clean installation would perhaps the the remedy. To be sure, Uninstall SRO, and get Norton or regclean or any of the other free utilities to clean your PC for registry damaged links. Check for viruses (The SRO installation I downloaded had a Trojan, which I removed). Don't install while your Internet Browser is open, and turn Yahoo Messenger off if it is on(my SRO installation disconnects every time YM gives a new message) Try downloading it from their Yahoo link. The Yahoo DL link has no Virus or Trojan, so far as I have tried.

Anyway, after my friends have done a clean installation, everything worked. (One did a total cleaning, including Internet Explorer Cache, and useless installed software).
