Ah, so I stopped playing SRO a few years ago and now I had the urge to try it up again - so I tried.

I'm getting the infamous undergoing inspection / update problem.

Now, I've done the Host files, I've uninstalled my old SRO client and downloaded and installed the new Legend 4(I think thats what its called), turned off my firewall, put in the ports, put it in the exceptions for everything possible.

So I chose the last resort, which was to start it in Safe mode with Networking. Hm, atleast I didn't get a message, but I still cannot access a update server. I just simply shows me what the admins have announced for the day, and stays that way. No update.

Now, I've tried to access www.silkroadonline.net and it does not work, someone, somewhere was explaining an issue with that but I don't know what exactly it was. I'm getting aggrivated and I don't know what else to do so please help, if you can. When I go to silkroadonline.net I get a message that says bad request invalid host name, but I can still get the site via joymax or searching..

I've also tried patching older versions to spark update but the program crashes.

Thanks!

Oh;

I live in the Eastern US, and these are my computer specs;

Windows XP Service Pack 2
Pentium 4 1.90GHz
1GB Ram
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro
Network Provider: Optimum Online - Not sure what that is equivalent in other states / countries
50GB Free on my HD if that matters also..

disable your firewall when you try to play sro and if it works you have to make your firewall recognize sro
