everytime someone calls my house, my internet temporarily disconnects. its very frustrating. anybody know why this is happening and how to fix it?

Your DSL/ISDN connection is connected through the same phone line as your home phone. Your internet connection should be run on a seperate phoneline if it is a low-speed internet (under 512k).
