hey im average new to SRO. Im building strenght only archer/flame

current level is 9 and current highest mastery is 5 thats a 4 and gap and is going to be getting bigger.

Im just wondering will it affect my experience point ratio if i add ice upgraded to lvl 5 and buy the first skill so i can slow down the enemies.

I thought it wouldnt sept for my highest mastery will still be at 5.

Thanks and for later use which of the 2 melee based wepaon skills should i chose to be maxed out.

my goal is to have only strenght, maxed out fire in the chosen skills, maxed out archer and maxed out ????which melee to chose.

Thanks, Jewsus

yes you can add some new skill... if you don't increase your masteries, the gap will remain the same. The gap is between your character's level and your HIGHEST mastery.

So you want to max bowman mastery AND pick some melee weapon skills? It will be a waste of SP IMHO. Anyway if you want to, choose glaive or blade (neither sword nor spear). Glaive does more damage, but with blade and shield you might block some hits.

GLAIVE : soul spear serie + ghost spear serie

BLADE : illusion chain (PVE) / hidden blade serie + killing heaven blade serie (PVP)

it's your choice... but if i were you i'd rather give up the 2nd weapon mastery and go for a 2nd force mastery (cold for defense, lightning for speed or force for ressing other people).

hey thanks i might just do that. i just thought if i had a good melee weapon skill/mastery in one when player/monster gets close i can switch.

so if u think i should get another magic skill i was thinking ice.

but wouldnt i need to start raising my int? instead of STr?

1 - Really few people choose to switch weapon (except the pure int nukers with sword/spear which is a particuliar build). As a bowman, you should kill the mobs BEFORE they get close to you (no need of another weapon).

2 - If you want to do with bow, keep that weapon but don't try to switch because maxing 2 weapon masteries will cost many skill points (including bow skills and the other weapon skills). Your precious skill points would rather be invested in a secondary 'force' tree. Fire as main force tree is good because you'll do much more damage (the fire skill tree has physical buff and the physical passive skill which give a 13% increase of physical damage at level 60 / + the fire imbue is the most powerful). You may choose ice as a sub force tree because of its passive skill and physical buff which add physical defense. Cold-wave attack serie is also good cause you'll slow down your enemies... Lightning skilltree would make you run faster and force skilltree would make you a helpful character (healing other people and ressing them - it's sad but ressers are really rare in SRO). Pick whatever you like, it is your choice. Check this link for skills description :
http://sro.mmosite.com/database/skills.shtml

3 - Everbody agree that bowers should be full strengh (full int characters are supposed tu use the 'nuke skills' since level 30, those skills are ranged skills... as a bowman your weapon has already range effect so full int bowman is kind of pointless). You'll use mainly your BOW skills (which do BIG physical damage) THAT'S WHY you have to go full strength (the more strength you'll have, the more physical damage you'll do)
