Well, I'm currently SP farming, but I was curious as to what masteries I should get for a pure int nuker.

I was thinking either:
90 fire/ 90 lightning/ 60 heuskal/ 60 cold

OR

90 fire/ 90 lightning/ 60 heuskal/ 60 bicheon


With the first option, I get extra defense boost with the buff and passive, and Frost Nova for players who don't have total immunity.

I don't know how useful the knock-down and stab are at higher levels, but some guldies told me that KD and Stab should definently be considered.


Can anyone give me a little advice on which one is better at the higher levels (40-50+)?

how much sp u plan on farming...?

Well, it depends on what build I might do, but probably around 100k SP. Don't say thats a lot, my friend is going for 200k >__< Hes almost there too.

If I go with cold, Im just going for Buff/Frost Nova/ and Passive.

I wouldnt know what to get for sword skills, so if thats the better option could somebody give me an outline of what skills to choose?

I'm making the second nuker build
KD + stabs and high BR shield > ice
Truth hurts T_T i always liked ice...

why not? he'll still have more hp than some1 who doesnt have heuksal.

IMO just skip bicheon or leave it at lvl 20. you should care about defence.

wished i knew that a little earlier...
but heuskal skills aint that bad...gotta love up the flyin' dragon =D

Ok, so I should still use spear for grinding though?

What about champs/giants? If I go up against one of those, should I just switch over to Sword/Shield? Seeing as I wouldn't have any heuskal skills, Sword would be the logical option with KD and stab, and possibly a couple other moves.

So if I were to go without heuskal, what skills would I get with Bicheon?

7%br vs 1078hp

I´m not really sure about KD+stab, it always depends on luck if your opponent goes down or not.. and with low health I just don´t feel like risking it.

With the anti-block you can now add on weapons those 7%br aren´t as usefull as before alchemy to. But then again 60 mastery´s for 1k hp (when you can add +hp on equips) seems pretty hard to.

90fire
90light
90sword
30 spear? ^_^

dont forget the extra defence and phy and mag reinforce a shield gives you .
also dont forget a shield is another spot for +4 str +4 int mods
dont forget shield crititcal

if you ask me 1000 or so hp dusnt conpaire to wat a shield can give you

However, you don't need to use a Spear to benefit from the Heuksal mastery, but you need a Shield to benefit from Bicheon, which makes Spear mastery a more flexible plan, IMO.

My doubts about sword-mastery:
- KD+stab might be bad at higher lvls.. i mean if you leave it at 60 (68=double stab
- 7% br with new alchemy isn't that superb anymore (it's "ok")
- kd+stab and passive are both luck-based, I find it hard to base my strenght on luck

My doubts on cold-mastery:
- well they're just a passive+active skill that adds phy defense. However this means it's pretty useless against int hybrids, pures
- 60cold seems obviously as passive is maxed then. However: 68cold=new book4buff and 90=a extra nice aoe nuke (actually it's for 54, but you need 90cold to do max damage with it ^^

My doubts on heuksel-mastery:
- actually none, 60 mastery points is a bit much for 1k hp.. however it's just a handy back-up that can be used (handy ;p) in any case

Try to tank a muijigi or a Yeti giant without the HP passive while they are orange to you. If ur pure int it CANT be done. 1 crit will kill you. Some weeks ago i saw a pure int no hp passive, lvl 48, SoS shield + SoS sword die to a crit of a muijigi giant. At PvP a pure str will kill you even faster if u dont have the passive. And i would never trust my life to the block of a shield cauz sometimes it doesnt block 3-5 hits in a row and u die.

IMO. Get the HP Passive and use Sword+Shield if ur pure int. U dont need any bicheon skills.

Still it makes very much sense what you said: bicheon=luck, cold=phy defense only.. and hp passive is usefull in any case, with cold as backup against str's hmmm

Heuksel+cold for me +400hp on every eq, +4int/str should be some deadly nuker ^^

Thanks for all your suggestions guys. I figure I'll go with the Fire/Light/Cold/Spear, and use a sword/shield for PvP (might use a stronger spear for guild wars and such though.)
