i have a pure str blader with fire imbue currently..but i was thinking of switching over to lighting. i know the dmg is alittle lower but ive heard that lighting comes out on top when all maxed. plus lighting has that parry ratio ..can that be cured by auto pill btw??

if you could tell me your thoughts of light imbue VS fire imbue for a pure str blader that would be great

>>Thanx<<

in my opinion, im thinking of making a pure str light blader, due to the fact that it trains faster.

Yes, lightning status can be auto pilled away

I haven't tryed out fire imbue, so I can't help you to compare them both (I'm using light as imbue). Though I doubt there is a great difference between them. Light has taken me to 56 and is working fine. The fire tree has some good buffs and a passive though that helps out alot for a str build. Lighting got some goodies too land if you considering leveling them both, maybe you can sacrifice some SP to compare them. But I think someone actually already have done that and posted it on the forum. So it might be worth doing a little search around here.

lightning imbue status error effects will take effect ON the hit that couses it
meaning the hit that couses electric shock WILL hit with the 50% parry down effects , after this inital hit it can be pilled away

but alchemy kills this build about asmuch as it killed cold builds =(

im nuker so cant talk too much :D .. but i think fire is better. i tot fire is str cha best friend. both imbue can pill away so fire better choice due to more dmg

Why is lighting and ice so un-effective against PvP??

because people at higher level’s will have the finance and sp points to get enough redusements in a particular field on jewelry in combination with fire shield series to attain 100% redusments to a particular elements effects

So cold imbue wont freeze or frost bite, lightning wont reduce parry with 50% and fire imbue wont do burn damage

In the end all that’s left for ppl that use cold and light is a weaker damaging imbue

That’s why every one is pro fire. and that’s why sro sucks atm until Joymax gets of its lazy behind and fixes the shield skill so only ppl who actually use a shield will benefit from it , and as soon as they cap redusements to error effects at 95%

This will never happen tho and SRO will remain broken for ever

i wanted to see how much more dmg fire accualy does so i tested it out..i lvled my light imbue to 2nd book lvl 1 and same with fire...i went out and attacked a guild mate of mine just with normal attack and imbue....the dmg difference was only by 5 or 6 ..BUT i am only lvl 33 the dmg difference may increase when higer lvl....

i was reading past posts earlier trying to find another topic about imbues..and i found one exactly like this one .....and someone said ( wont say his name) that his blader only had around 100 dmg difference when using cold imbue and fire imbue ..and he had 3rd book of both imbues

so seeing that the dmg isnt going to be so high..i think im going to be different from everyone else and accualy go lighting imbue instead of fire....
