So i read about all guides and INT nuker related threads i could find,
and there are a few things i still dont understand.
Ive seen "Main Fire and secondary Lightning" pop up on most threads, but i still dont understand:
Exactly what skills do i specialize in as a nuker ?
All in fire and lightning ?
So far ive only found the Must-Piercing Series and a Fire nuke.
So i wont be able to have any skills until im lvl30 and get Fire Nuke ? :o
Damn im such a newb

you're going to have to use SOME skills if you wanna lvl at all. i'd suggest getting your imbue of choice; it's a good start. also, if you ARE planning on going fire as main and light ning as secondary, lightning's "Lion Shout" skill is a ranged, nuke-like attack that becomes available to you much sooner than your nuke does (don't remember the lvl off hand).
to be honest, if you plan on going all int, spending points on your weapon skills is a little wasteful, BUT, if you don't kill a ob on your first hit, you might want something on hand to finish them off with, such as a weapon skill. for my int nuker, i use the spear's 3-hit combo and AoE skills for this purpose, but i suppose you could use anything.
the bottom line is that any skill that won't raise the amount of magical dmg you do or prevent you from taking physical or magical dmg from others is something you should NOT spend points on. buffs = good, other things are pretty unneccessary.

How far up did you level your imbue on your nuker?

bear in mind at all times that i am a HYBRID. that means that i have spent a lot of time making sure i do decent physical dmg as well, though my nukes are quite a bit higher than phys dmg now.
my fire imbue, which is my primary force, is at lvl5 of book 2 (with book 1 maxed of course). if there's enough interest in int-type hybrids, i could probably post a guide to my build and let you guys see an alternative to BiggieTymer's power lvlers and PvP pwners. a completely different approach with both strengths and weaknesses.
lemme know.

I'd be interested in reading your experiences, even though I'm going pure int.
I've just started sp farming bandits and plan on staying there until I have many thousands of SP - but I still can't decide on skill distributions.
Example: I read in biggie's thread that fire/lit is basically the way to go - but at level 16, the fire imbue causes me to take a non trivial amount of damage more than ice - sometimes with my ice imbue I will take 0 damage per mob, and with fire or Ice I still needed more than one usage of the fire or ice imbue to kill a bandit. So the sp usage would be the same for using two imbues, but fire costs me more hp to heal.
Later on, with actual long range nukes, I could see fire having the advantage, but cold is great for growd control - even in pvp - my frost effect recurs so quickly someone would basically have to spam the seeds constantly, and vs an ice/fire nuker they'd have to alternate between huge damage, and the effect of the frost nuke (plus it does some decent damage).
I'm not even sure if there is a direct answer to this, but hey, it doesn't hurt to be careful.

I also would like to read it.. I am current not sure where to go with my character.. I have done 2:1 everytime I have leveled up so far and dont know where to go with my points HP or MP.. I am currently level 9.
