My friends got into this game around 3 months ago, got to lvl 35 and discovered HYBRID (50%) was not the right path to follow, so.....
They started again, and I decided to join them and have to admit I'm addicted
OK, here's the prob -
I am FULL INT and have skilled up PATCHEON.
My first clues that this was not a smart move have come from comments from those who I ks from lol so I passed them off as resentment, but now I'm into reading through these forums I can see that HEUKSAL would have been a better option.
What to do from here? I'm SP farming at LVL 52 with my bow, and a 7 gap.
Is there any ppl in game who have travelled this path?
How much will it cost me to lvl down all my Patcheon skills?

Do you like using a int bow? If so then don't listen to others. If the damage is good keep at it.
just remember to buy some armor for the caves.
As for the cost it gets pricey assume 100k per skill?. The worst part will be the lost SP (20% of them unless you use item mall scrolls).

But if you want to de-level your skills it cost about 20k for each level you decrease.

Besides the fact that you have tiny crits, and no disable move.
We had a similar person join Fable, they switched from int bow to int spear hybrid, it went well for them .

Well I like using it, I have far-range attacks for killing mobs, and when those I'm farming with get to know me they tend to give me my zone. Most of us at lvl 45+ show respect for each other on the ice, and won't jump onto someone else's GIANT, which is as it should be......but there are still those peanuts who don't show respect.
KK /end rant......I like the bow, but I do not want to be in a position in a couple of months where I realise I'm getting owned. My guild is small, and we haven't been into war and we rarely pvp, so I'm looking more at other experienced voices at this point.
I have a couple of months to decide in any case, as I SP farm, but once I've hit 100-150K points I will be making my mind up.
I will consider armour, thnx for that

Yeah, thnx Kayson, the 20% is a sting when you consider how long it took to get the points in the first place Not to mention the RSI that will cripple my fingers in my declining years.

Tiny crits?
No disable move?
 More info plz
Disable move is the "knockdown" move that makes me want to murder some ks'ing n00b who just jumped onto my giant and while it's down he can hit it, but I can't?

Sure.
Your crits are MUCH less than an pure str bow.
Spear / glaive has knockback / stun for ints to get no dmg and repot
Blade / sword has KD and stab.
Bow has...nothing.
Int bow = bad idea all around.

MORE QUESTIONS
* (1) We have 300 Mastery Levels, so as we have a 70 lvl cap, we can divide our masteries into many different ways, such as -
~ 70 Fire
~ 70 Lightning
~ 70 Patcheon
~ 70 Force
~ 20 Ice
.......but.........if cap gets raised to 90 will they also increase the Mastery Levels to allow for the added cap. Or will ppl with multiple masteries be screwed and have to delevel a mastery skill so they can max out their others?
This is some scary shite, especially when we will theoretically be going to LVL 150 someday
-------------------------------------------------------------
* (2) I have read that 90% INT would be preferable to 100%, for the added HP that could save you, in later times. I am currently 100%.
Thoughts?
--------------------------------------------------------------
* (3) As a Pure (or nearly pure) INT, would Spear or Sword/Shield be the best option?
I do not mean to start religious debate, just looking for opinions guys, and I appreciate them

By the time you pop a res as an int your dead)This is some scary shite, especially when we will theoretically be going to LVL 150 someday ------------------------------------------------------------- * (2) I have read that 90% INT would be preferable to 100%, for the added HP that could save you, in later times. But most shoot for 83-87%) -------------------------------------------------------------- * (3) As a Pure (or nearly pure) INT, would Spear or Sword/Shield be the best option? If you want to stay pure int then by all means go sword shield. But realize you need alot of sp and gold to be invincible. heres my personal view on bowers:
they are meant to kill from far away, hence the range aspect. In the event that you do not kill them, you get str to tank for a while.
What an INT aspect adds is basically Nukes. the problem is, nukes are also ranged. Essentially your adding range + range. This leaves you with no defence and no hp to tank. This is bad combination because you cant use both nukes and devil bow at the same time or anything. I like pure int users with swords. This is becuase you have more defence, and you can apply damage quickly using combos. It is actually pretty darn strong with imbue + buffs + combo.
but then again, to each his own!
