Ok, so when I started my main character, Baugar, I did not understand the STR and INT system. As a result, I put a total of 32 points into INT, with everything else going into STR (92 points).

Baugar is now lvl 44 (156 STR; 96 INT) and I am considering what will give me the best results in the end-game. I am interested in developing Baugar's nuking ability, if possible, but I do not want to dump the rest of my points into INT if it will just make me lowsy all-around, instead of well-rounded. My end result, if I dump everything into INT will be 182 STR; 203 INT. I do not understand the Balance % system well enough to estimate what my end balances will be. Those of you that know the system a bit better...can you give me an estimate on what you think I will end up with if I do this. Also, do you think I would have a decent character in both pve and pvp situations.

Second question/concern:

Currently, I have spent my SP in Hueksal (41), Cold (41), Force(38) and Light (33) (for Grasswalk). Basically, I figure if I want to make any use of nukes, I will need to stop putting points into Force (if not delevel it a bit), and instead, level up Light. If I were to do this, with a goal of maxing Hueksal, Cold and Light would I be able to nuke effectively without Fire?

Or, instead of trying to make a change at this point, should I just count those noob points in INT as a loss, and continue my focus on building a STR/Glaive Hybrid using Cold & Force to be effective in pve and a support character in pvp?

I do not feel strongly about either option, because I am interested in both. I am also no concerned with being the best or the strongest, I already know that I will not be. I am just looking for some advice, before I screw things up.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this big mess, and thank you for any advice you may be able to give.

You are too far into str to go back to being able to use nukes effectively. If you decide to put the rest of your points into int, your stats are about 1:1, which will give you balances of 70% for both mag and phys. 1:1 hybrids should only really use weapon skills and maybe nukes to hord mobs for AOE attacks. Do not pump your pumps into int anymore, your build is fine the way it is if you pump the rest of your stat points into str. I am a str hybrid with about 30 points into intel. If you have doubts about the build, let me tell you a story that happened before the server shutdown. I was capping with a bunch of my guildies outside of DW. I'm currently lv 65 and I was dueling with my GM/friend who's a lv 70 pure int nuker with weapon skills. I tanked his hits and killed him with a strongbow crit and an antidevil crit. Sure, I got lucky with my SB crit but I could still tank his nukes and attacks 5 lvls under him. My gar set isn't even pimped out with str and int or hp bonuses. Hybrids are strong, so don't doubt yourself and your char.

Ermz...I never said I was a 1:1 hybrid. I said I put in 30 stat points into int, which makes me pretty much an identical build interms of stat points. 1:1 hybrids are VERY rare, I've never seen a high level 1:1 hybrid. I think tingboy from athens is a 1:1 hybrid since he has 11k hp and mp. He's pretty good in pvp. I would think he's probably more int based and just has +1200 HP on his equipment. If you are 1:1 hybrid, you need as many weapon skills as you can get. Nukes would be another option, it all depends on your balances. If you can have a mag balance of 85+%, you are good to go nuke. Obviously you won't be as strong as a nuker, but you'll do more damage than a pure str. I would avoid using nukes in pvp though, crits win in pvp in my opinion. If I have time next summer (and if my friends are still on SRO next summer), I'm going to make a 1:1 hybrid sword/shield fire char. It should be interesting, going to have to farm about 100k+ sp.

i'm not 1:1 as well... you're right, Jian, it's mostly gears that give me the even HP/MP.. but i am int based... it was more of, adding stat points where i felt was necessary... when i felt my nukes were strong enough, i'd start adding to str... then vice versa.. :) it seems to work out quite well...

i'll be finished with farming at the end of this month. i should have about 90-100k sp. my original plan was pure STR blader, but now im thinking maybe hybrid int sword and shield.

the only problem is levels 1-20, all pts were put into STR.

1. is it too late to go hybrid int sword?

2. if u were lvl 16 and farmed 100k, would u choose str blade, or hybrid int sword?

With 20 lvls, I would go hybrid int spear.

your character is screwed. restart. make 2 : 1 int : str build. 2 : 1 str int hybrid SUCKS.

Or he could fix it by the cap...
Str hybrids are useless, why would he make one

ive heard that 1:1 hybrids own at level 90... so if you were truely going for end game, 1:1 might be nice... and if you 1:1 turns out nice by level 70 and you did decent in PvP you could get all these people to stfu about it sucking lol...

the reason str hybrids suck is because glaivers win by crits... and str hybrids lower there crits

the only positives i could think of would be:
-higher damage versus armor wearers
-better magic defense
-better MP pot usage because with a higher mag balance you revcover more MP with the use of a pot (im almost positive about this but if its wrong ill change it)
-and the fact thats it different

umm some proof would be nice?

the only reason i say that about the pots is cause my str gets more from an HP pot than my int does...
