Ok, I have a lvl 22 str archer, with bow skill at 21, ice skill at 13. This is my first char, and I did all this without knowing about sp farming or that ice is no good for pvp. I want to have fire as my primary element and lightning as my secondary (for max grasswalk).

I know that I should do the cursed heart quest, but I don't understand it exactly. Do I lose 20% of my sp? Or is that 20% just unallocatable? Could I do the quest twice in order to completely reallocate my sp?

This brings me to sp farming. In the end, I want fire and archery maxed, with most of the skills included. I want lightning at 52 with one or two skills, and I want the most basic res ability. What kind of mastery-level gap would make this possible in a reasonable amount of time?

I really appreciate any advice anyone can give me. Please keep me from becoming a lvl 65 noob!

UPDATE: Okay, I took a closer look at the char builder and XP vs SP charts, so now I know that I need to keep a 4-5 lvl gap from now on. I guess my question now is how much should I reallocate? I have about 5 upgrades on my ice imbue and 1 upgrade on my autumn wind; I do not want these and will never use. Is it worth it to use the cursed heart quest to drop them back down to zero?

I recommend you start over.
getting to lvl22 doesnt take long, if you sit at it you can get there in a week. Many people start new out of exactly that reason. If you know exactly what you want, it's the best thing to do, to optimise your character from the beginning. The biggest impact to your character development will happen in the first month, because you level up quickest and can allocate strength and intelligence points the fastest.

DONT start over,, just leave ice for what is is and play one..
go full str,, and lvl ur fire till its better than ur ice,, best thing 2 do is skill point farm (means u should leave ur mastry like 4 lvls below ur own lvl)
gor just for fire fore a while, when u think u have enough sp and u think ur fire is strong enough, then go lvl light,, DONT START OVER DONT DELVL ICE, u can keep ice for ur buffs,, and de lvl it when ur like lvl 50-60 what ever... :D

yeah, the shouting maniac typing in caps there is right, you're going to want the ice buffs eventually anyways so just leave it alone (sp consumption at your lvl is negligable anyways)

Why would you want to delvl your ice anyway? Just level up your fire until you're fine with it. But I'd recommend deleveling the imbue at least.
