Sword, Spear, or both?

i'm a lvl 27 pure int. I was wondering if i should use a sword or a spear or even both. Alot of my freinds tell me to use a sword, but some say to use a spear.

Okay well here's the plan.

Sword and shield- More defense and life saving block. Better for pvp.

Spear-More damage and more hp. Better for pvm.

If you go with Sword and shield you should use KD+stab and nukes.
If you go with spear you should use Ghost/Soul Spar attacks.

It's your choice; defense/live longer or more dmg/live less longer.

I used both but it requires lots of sp and lots of gold

go both. spear for mobs u can one hit. sword and shield for mobs u cant.
