i have been thinking about this a lot lately (maybe too much), and i've come to the conclusion that i don't know which one to pick. i have 2 candidates:
int hybrid sword and pure str bow
i like the sword skills (leetness chains and stuff), but i also like the range for bow (stay out of trouble while dealing dmg). so now i ask you, which one is better for jobs, in particular hunter?
now i have a pure str glaiver on sparta and i love my high hp, i could run thru dead ravine with red-eyed ghosts swarming me while my int hybrid friend died twice there, so im more leaning towards the str bow build. but then again it all comes down to being a good hunter.
alternatively, i guess i can lvl up my bow+blade+ice masteries, bow for fast pve and blade for good pvp:roll: . but then i'd have no place for lightning (and i love the phantom walk thingy) and i'd like to keep masteries down to 3 trees because i hate sp farming.

i think bow is great for running thiefz. cuz when u r high level they usually run away and sometimes they run away 4 fun
if u be a pure int u can nuke him but it seems u dont want it.

If you were to go INT sword... Don't make it hybird.
Straight nuker usually does the job.

I have a sick, sick mind, but it was the first thing I thought of when you said that.
On-Topic: There is nothing wrong with hybridization with an int sword, with proper equips, alchemy your kd's+stabs would be particularly effective.
Str-bow is hawt

Str Bow ! I love mine. But I want to try a nuker myself when I go to Pacific. So I'll prolly go hyb/pure.

well i figured that since im going pure str with the bow, why not be a pure str blader at the same time? i'll just use the bow, blade, and lightning masteries (only 3 trees). so i can lvl up faster than a regular blader because i can kill mobs with a bow and be good in pvp with that blade and shield.

really? does lvling up the blade tree cost more sp than the fire tree? since im only gonna max kd+stab, chain, and that shield series for blade mastery (as opposed to imbues, and almost every buff for fire).

i think ur getting my point wrong: what im saying is that if u want to get both blade and bow masteries, u will need a ton of sp, and besides, if u go STR PLEASE DO NOT USE LIGHT AS UR MAIN MASTERY!!! STR= fire. u can add ice/light for extra speed/defense.
so right now, if u dont get ice (which i recommend u get up to around lvl 20 for basic defense) u will have 4 masteries to spend ur sp on: bicheon, pacheon, fire and light. if u add ice u will have five, and if u add force (which i recommend u get to lvl 17 for res or 23 for harmony), that will make 6. now. SIX MASTERIES. think how much hp u will need minimum with four, and think how much sp u will need for 6.
hope u understand now.

i picked hybrid sword cos it fits to me better then bow which i played and found quite boring. but i must say hybrid int spear is better then s/s hybrid because of higher damage forget about tanking it isnt int based chars job
