I wouldn't by yourself until you get to about 32, then just do 1 star trades. If you're in a guild where higher lvl ppl will help you, go for it. :D

But if you're wondering what job to "choose", you can be all three :O Its not permanent. Once you take off a job suit theres a 30min (i think?) cool-down. Or you can just use a return scroll or portal and you don't have to wait :P

There's a 10 min wait before you can put on another job suit not 30

Jobbing is overated. I hate how they say "At 20 level comes fun of your life. Choose jobbings for thiefer, hunter, or trader and enjoy Silkroad more than before ever!" Please, at 20, you make about 50% of your 1 stars, and don't even try thiefing or hunting.

I have to agrre with that. Unless you are trading a 1 star and are high enough to handle yourself, it is both more safe and more fun do it together with your guild/union/friends.

I thought thief xp went down when you traded? And vise versa. Same with hunter and thief?

Let me tell you something!
NEVER start as a hunter..
You'll get owned! And most of the thiefs are 30+
So you got no chance.. Im currently lvl 32, and only do trade runs..
I wouldnt start as hunter before im lvl 50 + 8)

trading question that sounds simple but I will ask it anyway....i have done one 1* alone and one multi-star with a hunter ...both successful but I am not pushing my luck.

But, my question is, and I think the answer is no but, say I am running along and come across a pile of goods on the ground. Maybe a thief came and killed a trade and left what he couldn't carry, maybe some npc's killed transport and a trader or maybe mobs did it never-the-less no one is around as far as the eye can see. Can I put my trader flag on, summon a transport, hop on, pick up the goods and haul arse to town or is that only a thief's job?

Don't job just yet. Trust me. I tried a few 1*'s at lvl 24 and 28 and failed every time. I did a 1* with a lvl 40 friend and made it, but it wasn't worth it. The only really successful job that I've done so far is a 5* trade I did with my guild. We had a lvl 24 guy on the camel so that the NPC's were low lvls. Then we had a lvl 41 picking off the NPC's as they spawned. A lvl 25 taking out any mobs that decided to pick on the camel, and a lvl 32 scout to watch out for any thieves or high level players. We stayed off of every trail, took the longest way possible. The scout would go up and come back never leaving the party too far behind. Everyone helped out with the thief spawns. We avoided as many people with guild names as possible to avoid ambushes. We played it smart and had a successful 5* trade from DW to Jangan. It was fun, but very very dangerous (and we did it at a populated hour which means more thieves since not too many hunters would be online).

Thiefing can be successful if you're lucky. Just get a bunch of horses/camels/Den scrolls and a suit in your invetory, never know when you see some loot around. When you get the stuff, use the scroll and get out of sight.

You can try trading but it's pretty hard with all the high level thieves around. Even if you go 1 star you have a small chance on success.
A high level buddy however, really makes a difference! ;)

this is like the worst feeling when youre lvl 19 for the first time ever and wanna do a job, just to hear people tell you to wait 20 more lvls.

You idiots, I did 5* dw-ht alone at lv 20 :D JUST JOKING as people said you should not to anything before lv 30. Then you can start trading. Hunting + thiefing -> 42 + imo.

I think a pure str if you have been pretty steady at grinding to the east of DW (bugs, hyungho, horses, eghosts.......so say level 24-27) you can try running a jang to dw or vice versa one star alone....stay off the roads, use a horse, go near grinders who are always looking for an opportunity to pop an npc thief (at least the higher ones outside of DW), get plenty of pots and pills for you and your transport, try doing it at a less crowded time, stay away from other traders. You might have a successful run......and imo whether you are at level 26 or 34 if a high level thief drops his npc thieves on you, you are probably dead either level so go ahead and give it a shot.
