Glaive vs blade is a tie anyway, pot match.
But while glaivers CAN kill ints, bladers can't kill any build.

Seriously, have any of the nay-sayers actually played as a blader? Heat would obviously know more about how it is near the cap then I would, but I can venture a guess that it would be pretty similar to the way it is now for me. No one my level can kill my character. His health is too high, and the br on my shield is too high. Nukers come close, but with a kd and stab, I can kill an int based (hybrid or not) in two - three shots. Vs a Pure str glavie it just turns into a pot match. I fought with someone 3 levels higher then me the other day, he had a pure str glavie with +5 on it. I was doing the same amount of damage as he was per shot. (course I have a good deal of sos garms so yea) xD Anyways, neither of use was able to kill the other, which is the point. Pure str is for tanking, not for quick kills.

Sure glaviers can do it faster, and they have more health, but they aren't as fun as a blader. Most people give up trying to grind a blader because it takes so long. Of course it takes forever, thats why they have you grind so long, because it is such an awesome build. If you have a serious issue with grinding time put mastery points into bow so you can level faster.
