Hi everyone, I'm currently level 31, using a spear and wondering when I hit 32, If I should get a glavie, or a spear? I currently use a spear (gold lance), fire, and spear attacks kills.
My fighting style is as follows-
Click to attack enemy, pres 6, begin pulling back for the big spear whack, forget what it's called but it does 250%, about halfway through press 5 to turn on my fire. After that press 4 and do chain tiger spear I think it's called. After that I should stilll ahve a fraction of as econd on my fire, and I do another spear whack. After that, I either finish killing without magic or spec attack, if the monster's hp is really low. Use another spear whack, or chain tiger if it is about that much hp, or use fire if it's more, combined with a chain tiger or whack if it's more.
The only time I don't attack with magic is if I accidentally run out of magic pots, mess up on my magic timing, or the monster has minimal hp left when I'm done with my usual attack.
I know the spear has a higher magic rating than the galvie, but I haven't noticed much of a difference, and I'm unsure how it work
s. Any help would be appreciated

Edit: I have 113 Str points, and 81 int points. I'm currenty doing 2:1 ratio in favor of int, because it feels like my magic is dissapeaering too fast

I'm lvl 15 glavie/fire user. Mostly all in STR. It's a 2:1 ratio of STR in favor right now and I too feel like my magic is running out. But I figured that if I try and go full INT right now, by the time I would get to lvl 30 I would probably have a 1:1 ratio.

Well. Since Glavie and Fire is a good combo for STR, if you wanna go INT try using a Spear with Fire.

Well, I'm still a noob so don't listen to me.

Lol no. Stallowned is a somewhat popular internet term for "owned". Do you know when it was? Or what server it was or something? It might of been one of my friends even though I doubt it.

You seem to be going two separate ways here. Glavies work best with high strength and high level weapon skills; spears work best with high intelligence and high level elemental skills. It seems to me like your playing style fits better with the latter, but your stats fit better with the former. So either you never put another point into strength again and focus on lightning mastery and skills, ending up eventually with a hybrid INT build, or you put all your points into strength and use a glavie with primarily high weapon skills.

Or you just do whatever the heck you feel like doing and see what works. Honest to goodness that's the most fun method for many people, although it by no means guarantees you the most powerful build.
