hi guys I'm new to this forum and also this game. I just joined Silkroad like 1 week ago. I have a few questions that if you guys wouldnt mind answering. I'm a pure fire int archer lvl 17 playin in venice. And been playing w/o any advice up till now. I'm so confused about it. I'm afraid I mite b building my char wrong. 1. What is a nuker or nuke?
2. What is a hybrid?
3.What are ppl talkin bout when they say gap between lvls or they hav gaps ... is gap a good thing or bad?
4. What are buffs?
5. Is it ok to have only one skill? I have fire.
6. Is it bad to b pure int when im a fire archer? Am i suppsoed to b addin it to str?
7. Am i suposed to max out pacheon thingy and fire skill?
8. What am i doin wrong?

1. What is a nuker or nuke? "The nuker is the main damage dealing build in the game. In a well balanced party they are responsible for dealing massive damage and taking out enemies from long range. They do very will in PvE, they do very well in wars, and they excel in dungeon combat. There one shortfall is in 1v1 PvP in which they are based on luck. A block of a nuke will be what tips the scale in the favor of the enemy. 3.What are ppl talkin bout when they say gap between lvls or they hav gaps ... is gap a good thing or bad? level gap is the gap between your character level and your skill mastery level. i.e. my character is lvl38 and my highest mastery lvl is at 36. i have a 2 lvl difference gap.

4. What are buffs? buffs are skills like frost guard, piercing force, etc... those that temporarily give you a boost in your attacks/defense.

5. Is it ok to have only one skill? I have fire. - this is fine, you HAVE to have more than one force.

6. Is it bad to b pure int when im a fire archer? Am i suppsoed to b addin it to str? i don't actually have a bow char, but as far as i know stat pts to str is your best bet at giving physical damage.

7. Am i suposed to max out pacheon thingy and fire skill? all preference but surely... if you're using bow, you don't wanna get a shield skill... etc.

8. What am i doin wrong? can't really tell unless you give us more information like what lvl your char is, how you distributed your stat pts, etc.

9. DO i gotta start all ova again? same answer as above. if you're unsure, i'm positive you can search through this forum and help guide you through your beginning stage.

You know, I'm wondering about this alot lately since I've already done 2 STR only archers that sucked (only to lvl 15 too). I was thinking that if you are going to skill spam (since normal arrow damage is just lame anyway), why not go all INT? So when you use your lightning or fire imbues, the arrows kick ass? Or is it because bows don't have alot/any magic attack power like swords and spears do? I'll bet thats the reason why people do STR only for bows relying in physical only damage.

People go Str for bow because of the godly crit rates from Anti-Devil, and crits only multiply physical damage.

yes, IMO bow chars are more str based than int based. if you go more to the int side, might as well go nukes str gives you more phys dmg to benefit from the pacheon attacks anyways.

hehe tnx guys =D it cleared some stuff up... but since I'm a pure int(already been addin to int since I first began to lvl 17 so cant change now... unless I make new one T^T) I no i havta b a nuker since every1 says I havta since I'm a pure int... but r nukers only sword kinda based weapons? Can I use my bow since i'm a archer? >_< and and um... wut other force goes wit fire? Which do u tink best? ice or lit?

1. You SHOULD use spear or sword/shield, but you can do w/e you want.

2. Bows have weak magic attack, and don't offer much defense which is why people forsake them for Spears and Swords/Shields.

3. Lightning. The Ice nuke blows.

You can put weapons in your skill bar. Put a bow and a spear, switch to the spear to nuke.

But, your nukes will do more damage than your bow. And you already have ranged attacks with your nukes.

You can delevel your bow skills later, so don't fret over it.

Fire is really important to pure str characters since pure str will never do the damage nukers do, and fire does the most damage. Plus fire has many physical perks.

Lightning is the nuker's force for sure, and since the fire nuke will only have a marginal advantage over your lightning nukes (until like lvl 50+ or 60+), you could forgo using fire for a while. Ice is good for the nuker for the physical protection.

This game is so-lvl based, it only matters if someone else has a better build than you within 2-3 lvls of your character. So it is pretty hard to mess up your character, in this game. But it is an MMO, so not very hard to run into people close to your lvl.
