You shouldn't be asking what is best for a Lv 7. The right question is what kind of build do I want to eventually end up with. I can get to Lv 7 in an hour.. so that really isnt much of a big deal. Now, if you are planning on playing the game for a while you will need to make your own build. Now, if you want to level pretty fast go for the bow/arrow. You will have to pick up all your drops and sell them as you may have a little trouble affording arrows. Just so you know blade/shield is one of the slowest leveling builds out there.

realli?? Thats weird.....coz i have two characters....One is a bow(retired) the other is a blade(current)........I found that the speed of levelling was generally the same....4 weeks to lvl up to 20(slow coz i had no time).......Both had a 5 gap mastery lvl........But the bow one was a poor person while the Blade a rich one........Weird........

thats not weird
shield = block= less damage over time = lesser pot usage = more money

My 2 cents:

and I do mean TWO CENTS:
Stick with bow til lvl 20, just for lvl speed and any sp farming you decide to do. If you want the best PvP build, and lvl slower at the higher lvls, then go blade and shield. Want to lvl faster and still have a nice pure str character, then stick with bow.

well if you have money (usd not gold) you can always just play bow til 45 (buying unlimited quivers) or whenever it gets hard and switch weapon class using skill relocation pots.
I know a few people who farmed using bow and switched to blade/glaive once they were done sp farming/bored/high lvl.
