I would take Ice as a sub and Fire as a main. You won't deal that much damage, Ice can be recovered with Pills and bows power is also low. Stick with fire for the imbue, to do reasonable damage, that can't be potted away that easely.

You'll want the fire passive, the flame body wisdom series and the fire imbue. Also the protection.

The weak guard of ice is a nice benefit from ice.

Don't get the fire nukes as you are str and they will be very weak.

You will probabaly also want lightning for the grasswalk series.

however those are not terribly effective for pure strength users. I have them but rarely use them as they add very little to my damage.

I do not recommend ice for pure str. Ice offers 2 advantages, one is added physical protection (the passive) which nukers are definately in need of, and status (which is great in PvE situations as monsters don't wear anit-freeze jewelry, and they don't auto-pill) which again is great for nukers since they are the stronger PvE build.

As an archer, you will (in general) have low AR weapons (your buffs give you more AR), and you will not be doing a lot of damage. You will be living off your critical damage (anti-devil buff adds to your crits), so you want bows with high crit, and you want to add damage to your crit. Flame-body series and the imbue will give you this. When you get to the higher levels, you will be doing high damage (granted, still not as high as nukers) with your crits + fire.

Imbues are like Iceriver, Fireriver, and Thunderforce; It's better to leave your Iceriver at that level, and JUST level up your fire now.

you can have both, start upping fire and leave ice alone. You can delevel it later if you wish using the curst hearts quest (sticky). Imbue = ice river or the fire or lightning equivilent. At lower levels you can play around a bit. the only thinkg you cant change is your Int and Str points.

As for the ice imbue, I had it to level 43, then deleveled it and switched to fire, I like it better, meshes more with a str build, and has better damage. There are quite a few people that still have ice as their primary, its personal preference.

In PvP unless someone has really nice gear and decent skills they will not be immune to being frozen. Yes they can pill it away, but their skill gets interrupted and they are halted temporarily, allowing you to continue attacking unmolested.

oh..ok..caz my str is like 1030hp and int is like 700sth mp...and i will keep put sp into str states..so ya..

so i stop to use the ice force and upping the fire until highter then ice...
then i may get the guard, cold wave, froce walls, force nova to freeze..and cold armer ..right?
and fire, i get fire imbue, some phy demage, or protection..

 right??

The ice imbue is very helpful for PvE considering the frostbite is quite helpful to slow down your mob to lengthen the time you get to kill em before they reach you. The Flame wisdom buffs you'll need for sure as a pure str. But keep the ice imbues up along with your fire because ice is a pain in the butt in pvp for your target. When they're frostbitten during a skill, even if they cure it the skill has to be executed in frostbitten speed before they can attack fast again. The fire imbue's extra damage shouldn't matter that much until lvl 30-40ish.

Yes, I suppose as long as most people do not know how to deal with ice, this works.
Just keep in mind that good anti-freeze jewelry prevents frostbite to the point where there is nothing to pot away, and that people who know what they are doing against ice buy the most potent universal pills to cure freeze, and that the archer and blader, at least, have moves that cannot be cancelled with frostbite.
Cannot tell you how many different PvP situations I have been in where I have come out on the winning side because my opponent tried to use ice on me, where a glaver, blader, or archer who had fire could have taken me out in 2-3 hits.
That being said, you can do ice and fire if you wish, and at lvl 17, that really is not a big SP investment there, and I wouldn't worry about it, unless you really need the SP, but then just do the curst heart quest to delevel ice.
