If one is pure STR why would they imbue a weapon, other than inflict status effect on their opponent, when their damage comes from the actual weapon specials? I never understood this. From what I understand, Imbued atks are magical damage, and pure STR's rely on physical damage. So why on earth would someone who is pure STR want to train the imbues past lvl 1? This question has to do with a lot of the guides I've read lately on this forum and on others that shall not be mentioned. lol. Just curious.

The imbues' status effects get higher as the imbue level gets higher.

if a full int does 10 phy dmg, he can do 100 with imbue
if a full str does 90 phy dmg, he can do 100 with imbue

just an example with random numbers.... (i dont think a full int and a str would do the same dmg)

now ur a full str, what u want to do, 90 dmg or 100 ? :D

lvling imbues allows u to add a bit more dmg to your weapon skills, even if for a full str is not as much as for a full int

if ur question is: is it worth spending sp to get an imbue for a full str?
it has a more complicated answer imo.... but it seems that everyone uses it... i guess because no one wants to have only 1 mastery and because of all the guides and because i assume ppl have learnt from trial and error

maybe you can try a full str without imbues, and then u can tell us

Yeah, I guess I'll have to do some testing.

you only lose damageto ballance factors
a pure str with say 45% mag ballance and 100% phy ballance would only lose 55% damage from his imbue powers

atho there is a damage loss the extra damage from imbue is still pretty good

and there is the thing that cold gets stronger status error effects , light redusses more parry ratio and fire gets more damage over time per lvl of imbue

Ok, now that makes sense to me. I get now.
