It is for both int and str characters, and is a good opener or for drawing mobs.

Well, I had it for a while from 32 to 35. But I deleveled my skills, and I've not really wanted it back. I've made no effort to get some SP for it, and I don't intend to, until I cap and start farming.

I'd say keep it at level 1 of 1st book : it's a good cheap skill for drawing mobs (leveling it further isn't good IMHO) ...may be useful for PvE

Im lvl 58 pure str fire glaive, for me I do my soul spear on a mob, then dragon fly on next closest (book 1 lvl 1) and shock lion shout (book 1 lvl 1) and then ghost petal. You will lvl fastest as a glavie by gathering as many mobs as you can handle and spamming ghost petal. If you are looking for damage then this skill sucks, but it is oh so important when gathering in mobs to ghostpetal

I dunno, it might get a lot better at higher levels because in that lord yarkan video all the glaivers are using it.

yeah true..the only thing you saw were flying dragon/arrows and nukes..and a few zerked bladers. the glaviers were at a distance throwing there spear xD. I got now a question tho..is there a difference in style between the 2 books?

i can grind very fast using both books of flying dragon (atm i have the 2nd one at lv1 only) and soul spear soul. its the first book+SSS for one mob and 2nd book+sss for the next one (or for green mobs soul spear truth or jade braking spear) + the first book of my imbue.
what i mean is, i see same lvl glaiver killing the same mobs with soul spear soul+ghost spear mars+4th book imbue. they are using like 1.5k more mana/mob and they actually kill slower. no joke.
i never understood why using the highest lvl imbue in pve unless of course it makes you kill a mob in less attack skills.
ok, got a bit off topic, but as i see it, flying dragon is a very usefull mid-dmg skill :)

Ya i am also confused whether to get this skill. If i want to get it...i max it. I am not the type of person who will just attract monster and doing 2 digit damage.

So 1 question. How is it compared to ghost spear series? IN TERMS OF DAMAGE only

its lagging badly now, so i just killed some mobs to test it for you :)

flying dragon fly lv1 (lv54 skill) did an average dmg of 3.08k
ghost spear prince lv9 (lv57 skill) avg dmg 3.35k
both averages are calculated out of 10 hits, so its not too accurate.
even if i would upgrade flying dragon to the same lvl as ghost spear, it would still do less dmg.
