Numbers are approximated, atm, that if you keep a steady 3 level mastery gap, you gain approximately 77k sp by level 60, without quests that is.
The number is still in testing and as such is +/-10%, but as i work it out, in the absolute worst case scenario, 50% of your exp is from quests (im thinkin its more like 20% in actual game scenarios) you still have 38k SP +/-10%, meaning anywhere from 35k-41k SP, which is enough to suffice if you only go 2 trees and 1 sub-tree. This works out perfectly for my thief build, as it only uses Blade + Fire + Force as a sub mastery. Blade will only have all the chain skils up to heaven chain, not touching blood or ascension, the passive, and a few ranks of the kd/stab skills. In fire i will max my imbue's first book (maybe more, not sure), and the fire-body series, as well as the passive and fire protection. under force I will have the first theraputic circle maxed out, the resurrection series maxed out, and the medicinal hand - Heal spell maxed (maybe more here). Ive used the SP calculator and its enough SP for my needs.
My advice: Take a 3 level mastery gap and screw all the xtra trees. Lightning is not a must, cuz i'm a blade and use garments anyway. Ice is not a necessity, its just for more armor, which I dont really need as I'm a pure strength, Force is nice to have, but only because im a thief and need to be able to turn off auto-pot and use pots only in dire emergencies. Non-pot recuperation is a vital skill when playing thieves. Also having the resurrect maxed out will be helpful for any group, and adds to my guild recruitment appeal.
