This is my first post here, but I'm not completely new. I played SRO a while when it was in beta and quit about a year later.

I've searched for an answer to this for ages but found nothing. One SP farming guide just mention that "professional" Korean players farm 30k at level 16 "before moving on", saying that this allows them to "max out" their skills at higher levels.

I used the character builder (Java applet) and found that the SP I need is about 120k for a decent build. Furthermore, I checked the SP level gap chart and levelling to 70 with a 0 gap only gives about 4k sp! So how am I supposed to get that several hundred thousand SP so that I can get all the necessary skills for fire/glavie (I'm going for pure str/glavie/fire)??

Am I supposed to actually farm ALL the way to level 70/80/90?? I though the point of SP farming, as mentioned in all the guides, is so that you can max out your skills and actually enjoy the game while levelling???

If so, what the hell is the point in farming at 16??? The bandit stronghold is always full of Turkish or German/Dutch level 60+ idiots powereleveling their lower level guild mates (why the f*** can't they do Ongs...), so it's impossible to farm there anymore. On top of that, I can farm white/black tigers (not many people fight them) with my SoM+3 glavie at almost the exact same rate as I would if I were in the bandit stronghold!

What would you guys suggest I do to get that 120k sp I need? What did you do?

Also, one last (unrelated) question: Are there many English speakers left in the game at all?? By that, I mean native English speakers - i.e. from North America, the UK, and Australia/NZ (actually, I've found that there are hardly hardly any people who can even speak English left). The reason I ask is because I'd like to play in an active guild with some...

Thanks in advance.

I tried it again a few months later with a friend and got 'til level 45 (lightning nuker) and couldn't even kill anything, even with a full SoS set and +5 weapon, because I had no skills. After trying a couple of other MMORPGs I could never forget how fun SRO was because of the "Triangle Conflict", but didn't want to bother trying it again because I heard it was full of gold bots.

What would you guys suggest I do to get that 500k sp I need? What did you do?

The 30k farm was ages ago, years ago. It is now not 30k that you need to farm but more along the lines of 500k or so to farm. This can be best done at either ongs, or you can do it at cap or somewhere before than.

You get like around 230k sp leveling from 0-90 on a 0 gap. With a nuker you can 0 gap easily learning only lightning and level 20 cold for snow shield.

If you really can't handle farming i suggest that you wait till cap, its not "required" to farm. Its just you will get pwnt by those who are farmed in pvp and jobbing.

I am from Australia myself, and obviously I am an English speaking person. I have met many people who are from the US and from AU especially in my guild. I guess it depends on server and guild.

Thanks for the reply. I stopped SP farming at 16 with about 13k sp so I'm going to get to level 37 with a level 2-3 gap (2 whenever it's convenient). Then I can max out all my skills and farm again with a level 9 gap until I have enough for my level 60 skills.

I read the table wrong and the character builder...I know what do do now - thanks a lot.
