First i wanna say that i've never played an RGP or MMORPG type game before, and i wanted to get some help.

My current character is lvl 17.

Heuskal lvl is 8. (annihilate blade series-wolf bite spear lvl 2)
Fire mastery level is 10. ( fire force series lvl 3)
TOTAL MASTER PTS IS 18/300.

1. since my lvl is 17, BUT my master level 18/300, does that mean i messed up for skill farming? since my master level is 18, and my lvl is 17.

2. i have 1094 skill pts available, and get about 130-140 exp. pts & 140-150 Skill pts, depending on if i kill tigers or bowmen. am i on track or should i be gettin more pts from these guys? also it is in the HOYO moutains. is there a better place to farm?

3. there are so many skills & abilities, which should i get? i use a glaive and want to be powerful for hunter jobs later on.

4. when i created my charater i received 2 experience scrolls. on has +60% and teh other +100% experience pts. should i use these know, or later? will they expire?

i dont want t o put a lot of time into a game, and then later on realize my character is too weak. am i on the right track?]

THANKS

I'm still new myself, but I can atleast address your concern about SP farming. What you want to look at is your level and your highest 'individual mastery'. In this case, your highest mastery is Fire which is level 10. So your level gap would be 7. I think people usually go for a 9 level gap for farming since it's the maximum, but I think 7 would be fine as well if you're trying to save up points. I'd also like to point you to the thread floating around with Exp/SP ratios on this first page, very helpful stuff.

thank you spell binder for your info. i actually did read it, but honestly i didnt understand it completely. it actually took me like a week just to find out what PVP means. i've never been into these type of games beofre, but there is something about SilkRoad that makes it so fun.

Well, alot of people are concerned about will they have enough skill points for all the masteries they want to take. The first table that's linked to in that thread tells you how much SP you can make at each level depending on how big your gap is. So using myself as an example, I need a total of about 220,000 skill points for all of the skills I want by level 70. Looking down the 5 level gap column on the chart, I added up all the SP from my current to 70 and found I'll have enough skill points for my masteries.

I guess this makes sense to me since I understand it now, but I hope it helps you too ^^; And yes, I know what you mean about Silk Road. I've played my fair share of MMO's and wasn't expecting to love this one as much as I do. I was planning it to just be a diversion until something else is released, but I think I'll be sticking around here for a long while. :)

Concerning the two tickets you got, gold and silver, Save them for later.

Even if you had a 9gap now, your levels would go way faster than they will later, so those 2 nice items will definatly be nice for later.

If you snoop around here, for example search for SP calculator.
You should find a nice tool(page) for calculating how much SP you need for your build, there are also some buildguides around.

Glaives usually go fire and well, dip deep into the heuksal tree, getting the soul depart series as their main, can't remember too much else about the normal skills they pick. only levled my glavier to 21 with a big gap;D so my skills are like level 14 atm I think.

Don't put any more into wolf bite. It is weak compred to the rest of the glaive skills. Wait until soul spear and ghost spear. Since fire is already 10 bring spear up to 10 also and add the passive. Don't add anything else into fire until lvl 20 - then bump up to 11. Keep the 9 lvl gap to build up sp while doing all the quests.
