Many people in nowdays asking:''Is 70:70 bower better than Full Str?''
What you people say. I say no it isn't. Because bowers need to tank, and bowers need criticals in PvP. If you do 70:70 you get alot less criticals than Full Str, and truth is criticals kills in PvP.

So, what is your option? 70:70 or Pure Str? Why?

My option is: Do I want 70:70 Bower? :nowant:

Some say chinese can only max 2 masteries at later cap.IF SO,in the long run, Pure is a good way to go because it easy to choose STR base+Fire,INT base+Ice.Being too hybrid..1:1,70:70 from my exp need some recipe...half spoon fire,1 cup of light, damn thats hard. :palm:

1. If you mean "you are less likely to get a critical, then no.
The probability mainly depends on the weapon and the percentage of weapon attacks you use,
not on your build.

2. If you mean that the critical damage is alot lower, yes and no.
The damage difference between a normal hit and a critical hit is not as great as for full str.
But on the other hand, the normal, non-crit damage is much higher
and the crit damage for a pure str and a 70:70 build with identical equipment is the same.

No matter how you look at it, 70:70 has a higher damage output than full str, which to you is apparently a downside.

Like I already half mentioned above: It HELPS kill in pvp and is only entirely essential to str builds over 85% strength.
How do you think int builds kill?

I have had a 70:70 bower and am currently playing a full str force bower.
I prefer the full str force bower.

Why?

Because i can tank well and long enough in group pvp to help others or to run wild myself, can hit high enough to others and am very suited as an allarounder.

70:70 would be a bit more suited for mavericks who're only out for damage.

ok

1st off for chinese builds nowadays no build needs to be full str to be tank in pvp, all they need is a higher lvl snow shield

2ndly what type of pvp are you talking about:
cape: 2 min snow, you can either keep spamming kb and other skills and hope for 2-3 crits to get a kill or you could have a higher dps. Both ways work.

ctf/BA: lets face it you are an anti-mage or anti-ranger class. pure str can either 1-2 hit w/o crit or 1 hit with crit any wiz/bard/lock/nukers/rogues depending on gear and assuming lack of defense buffs or ofc that lovely shield with its 18+ BR.

Guild War: I've only done this a few times and yeah not with a bow but based on observation i would garner the guess that your role is much the same as in ctf/BA.

Fortress War: Never done it and i doubt i will anytime soon or ever at all for that matter so no comments.

3rdly, as you said crits kill in pvp(for pure str builds) hybrids have higher dps so they do not need uber high 1 mill dmg crits to win. The debate should not be between which build is better but between which build do you prefer.

4thly, bow is tank? LOL? bows are not tanks. that's a blader. bower can live through some hits yeah, pure str live through more hits than hybrid, that's also true. But both depend on kb gained at 76 to survive. No kb(as bowers are for most of their lives) = no survival. Try it 2h vs bow w/0 kb see how long the bow lives...

TL;DR:- both are good and work equally well it only depends on player preference, skill, gear and at times silk items

Which: Pure str...

Why: Possible future update ruin hybrids. Something another member on here found out. Not sure if true.

if you mean the changed phys/mag balance of weapons, then bow doesn't seem to have been changed.
So it might just be affected by the upgraded imbues
