What's wrong with STR? You could recover from that I think, for a STR route anyway.

7 level mastery difference isnt semi-farming....its farming hands down.

Lets see. You def have more STR than you do INT.

The game automatically gives you 1INT and 1STR per level.

Nuke is a 31ish skill. If you went INT from now on, you would be

72+13+00 = 85
54+13+49 = 116

This is better than 1:1 but I dont think its enough to be an uber nuker. Not at 31 anyway. If and when you hit 40-60, your nuke would be stronger of course, but not "as" strong as others.

If your physical balance is so much higher than magical, surely you would do more damage with a Glaive than a Spear? Unless your Imbue skills are through the roof and your Weapon skills are non-existent maybe...

Just out of thought, my char is
lvl 20 semi sp-farm
str aproximately 90
int aproximately 63

I am confused of what path i should take now...
Should i go str focus from lvl 20 straight to lvl 30? then keep the balance after tat

RaVeNouS:

i am an int hybrid. i was 1:1 until lvl 30 and now am a very strong nuker. my take on the situation is this: if you wanna go the int route, you CAN be effective at it. but it'll be slow going. for a while, like lvl30-40, you'll ahve to rely on your str-based attacks JUST AS MUCH as your nuke; you'll seldom be able to one-shot things for a long time. this is fine, but it's not gonna be all uber-powerful at first. if you pump EVERY stat point you get into int from now until around your 40s, your int will be much much higher than your str, and nuking will likely be very effective.

if you want my honest advice, keep pumping str. you were headed that route, and i think your stats lend themselves to that. pump pure str from now on and make yourself a nice little tank :) the nuker in the back row killing enemies over your shoulder will thank you.

Stupidly I did and I wish I hadn't just because each imbue now costs me 101 mp at imbue lvl 5. I wish I had kept it at 1, maybe 2. :banghead:

The higher level imbues also inflict a stronger status effect. I think if you have the extra SP and cash for pots it's worth it.

Am I the only idiot who has level five in the second fire imbue book?
I have to admit it hits pretty freaking nicely, and the extra one second compared to the first book usually means another one or two hits 8)

up until yesterday, i only had 1 level in cold imbue. bumped it up to max, and there's a big diff. the status stays for longer, and more damage. you can't see it level by level, but it's a big jump from level 1 to 9.

and yes, i use about 4 times as many mp pots now >.<

i bumped mine up about 5 levels and its a hellalot of a diff. Seriously if u think about it, if spend maybe 100mp more to cast it, but kill mobs faster, u take less damage. That way u use more mp, less hp, but kill faster.

did that make any sense :)

who's that in your picture? some kind of foreign celebrity? (to canada, at least)

i didn't know ppl kept their imbues at lvl 1... i could be wrong, but i think upping it as you lvl was pretty beneficial to me...

as to your build... you have most of your questions answered... hope your char turns out okay XD

if your going hybrid... might i ask what weapon you were going to use? Perhaps spear since you were planning on going Int heavy?

my imbue is now lvl6 book 2. it does more magical dmg the higher it is (and the higher the user's int is), and the status effect lasts longer and does more dmg per second (in the case of fire). i can see why leaving it at lvl1 would be a good idea for pure str builds who are only interested in it for its status effect (in the case of ice specifically), but for anyone else, i think maxing it is a good plan. just my opinion.

yea, that's why i kept mine at 1 for so long, since i kept hearing that was good for pure str. but it's not a bad idea to raise it. i'm pure str, and like i said, bumping mine to max from 1 showed a significant gain. like i mean it was about 20% higher damage when imbued than before. and that's alot quicker killing. also, i liek the fact that the cold status stays for longer, meaning even on mobs my level i can kill them usually in one imbue, and before they get un-frostbitten.

Anyway thx =], I'm onto spears now, lvl 26 with 78str and 85 int. Can anyone tell me why my phy balance is 72% and my int balance is 66%...?

Also, how much would u pay for a +3 silver lance (lvl 26)
122-141
1xx-245
crit 8

I know i ask alot of questions :D . But hey imma noob and this is a forum 8) .

if you just started pumping your str and your int was being raised before, than it'll take some time for your balances to catch up (corrections TOTALLY welcome on this one). i think it's that every point of stat you get shifts the balance a bit toward the stat you applied, i.e. adding a point of str shifts the balance to str a little from where it was.

a lvl26+3 spear could go for anywhere from 600k-1mil depending on your server. on Xian, expect to pay 1mil at least :(

ye athens seems to be REAllY cheap compared to other servers :P

Shield elixirs for 25 - 30k and lvl 18+3 Glavies for 190k. Cheap in my opinion (:
