Ok so you want to be a pure str Glaive. So you ask yourself whats in it for me...what about a nuker, a blader, a bowman, or a 2:1 int hybrid? First of all you have the highest possible hp in the game which makes you an relatively excellent tanker (far from bladers though). Secondly, your damage rate is very high and you have great AOE (area of effect), making you hard to mob. So in sum, you can pvp well and do well in pve.

So now, I will talk about the build...there are many guides and players who say to use skills that really will just waste you sp and make you suck. If you plan to go hardcore and stick with the game til the mastery cap goes to 150 then listen up, cause you'll need the following:

Heuksal:

~All soul spear skills (soul spear-truth and soul spear-soul will be your core single target attacks)

~All ghost spear skills (this will be great for pulling out a fast attack or getting rid of mass mobs, great for pvp and pve)

~All chain spear attacks (the the pluto series is great for pulling out dmg faster but doing less dmg overall. use this if u dont have time to wait for a 6 combo to finish. dragon, which imo is the better chain attack, will do the most dmg but over 6 atks instead of 4, making it slower). In sum, pluto gives less dmg, uses more mp, but gets the dmg out faster, which may just save you. Dragon gives you more dmg, uses less mp, but takes longer to finish.

~All flying dragon skills (the "physical nuke"). A good skill for long range. and yes it travels as far as a nuke, which is useful.

the mastery for this skill will be maxed at 150 (when the caps go up and new skills appear only use skills with OVER 200% dmg. This is critical, all other skills are a waste)

Fire:

Yes fire, not lightning, not cold, fire...

~Full Fire Imbue...nothing to say here...it's the strongest, and burns (which can give a large amount of extra dmg in the later levels. so far around 300-400)

~Full fire shield. You will want this in pvp as it will be very useful. before combat even starts have the shield in the quickslot. put it on, activate the skill, and get your glaive again).

~Full fire physical buff. nothing to say here.u want to be good, max this series.

~Full fire protection. Nukers, they can suk and they can own you if your not careful. garment helps but extra def is always good.

~Full fire passive. yea...you get it.

Max this skill at 100. good extra damage

Lightning:

nothing here except the windwalk series, the pasive, and if you have the sp, the parry increase. get lightning only to lvl 50, thats all you really need. the windwalk is the only reason your bothering to waste 50 mastery levels. its that useful. and 50 is all a glaive will need.

Cold:
i laugh...sure you can level some of this before the caps go up, but why bother...you'll be wasting millions of gold with the cursed heart quest and losing sp. i highly recommend that you dont touch this skill. the freezing is no longer a problem for people with the the auto-pot and fire shield. and the def is honestly insignificant. just use some alchemy if you really feel you need it.

~~~~~
As for sp farming, I recommend that at lvl 16, you farm 50k sp. it will save you the trouble of having to keep your smg at 5 which lowers you leveling speed and power (lower master means less power by %). if you hate sp farming, which i do, just farm 5-10k at 16 and keep a gap of 5-6 til the end, its your choice. Glaives need less sp than bladers and nukers so you have it easier.
~~~~~

For what to wear, i recommend armor during pve and garment during pvp. i personally dont like protector. its not bad but its not good either. garment will give you def against nukes. but this is just a general statement. what to wear depends strictly on what your opponent is, end of the story.
