I find that mine is extremely low. 118 when im lvl 29. reg gun powder does a little over 200 dmg. my str is in the 90s, int in 80s. in the process of trying to go mostly int, yes i know my character will probably be quite a mess. but i mean i wear armor, and im trying to understand why its so bad and if i can do anything to help it. its probably just because im a hybrid, but figured i would ask.

when i was level 43 i did a little test of garment vs armor

foudn the best set of armor i could, same +'s as my garment set, al lthe same levels

against maong - physical attack

garment took the hits ok, it was about 180 dmg per hit i think, now, along with the speed and MP use reduction, levelling was fine, fairly quick to get about.

Armor took more damage strangely, at least 200 per hit, i was runnign a hell of a lot slowrr, even with supremegrasswalk skills, and my MP par dissappeared after one combo.

i was appalled at it and instantly switched back to garment. so, i think overall, what build you do also affects how well each set works.

all is a mystery

Are you sure maongs do physical? I noticed they seem to shoot a little fireball for their attacks, I think they might be magic.

i've never seen this attack. maongs are purely physical. they have a double-tap w/ their two front legs, and a single attack w/ their stingers.

Maongs are physical.. i'm not sure if they have a magic attack, been so long since I fought one.

But yeah, all physical builds go garment at one point. You realize you're burning mana way too fast without it and you're moving too slow to level at a good pace. Most int builds do as well because nukes tear through your mana pool like nothing. So all in all, garments are by far the suit of choice ( though you may want to keep a garment & armor set for pvp situations.. )

well i decided to go protector. the taoist dmg dropped around 100 i believe. my phys def hardly dropped though suprisingly. i may go to garment but middle of the road may work better for me.

Do you use the fire buff which reduces magical damage? When it is active you get a little flame animation and sound effect every time something hits you.

lol don't worry about it. i love casting harmony therapy when i try to res someone because i am stubborn and keep them next to each other on quick select.

and i ended up switchin to garment. protector did help alot but i still ran through lots of pots. not that i don't know, but 10k per 50 makes me want to use them as little as i can.
