check out this thread. while Biggle/Fly is anti-ice for the most part, just replace all the instances of the word fire with the word ice, and you'll have a pretty good idea of what to do.

haha ok.

quick and dirty version:

you're into spear and ice. let's break this down. (note: this is based on a str build. if you are NOT a str build, tell me and i'll revise)

SPEAR (Heuksal):

you're going to need to get some of the lower lvl weapon skills at first just to be able to lvl and kill mobs faster, but don't put more than a rank or two into them. each of the low lvl spear techniques has a higher lvl one that's pretty equivalent as far as effects (AoE, piercing multiple targets, etc), but the higher lvl ones do MUCH more dmg. once you get high enough, make sure you max out (which means put as many skill ranks in a skill as possible) every skill with a damage rating of 200% or more (you can see this in the skill's description). examples: Soul Spear series, Ghost Spear series, Flying Dragon series, Chain Tiger series, etc. you're also going to want to max out your passive skill, which is the LAST skill on the list for spear (make sure you scroll down), which is available at lvl10. this skill is going to add to your MaxHP, which of course means you tank better. i'd avoid the spinning spear skill (forget the name, it's low lvl), as it doesn't do much and is a waste of SP IMO.

ICE:

the most important skill to learn here is your imbue, which is the first skill on the ice list. keeping this maxed out will not only add more dmg to your every attack, but it will add a higher strength status effect, which in this case will be freezing/frostbite. you'll also want to max out the passive in this force, the effects of which elude me at present, and your "buffs", which are spells you case on yourself that last for a finite amount of time and add something to your chatacter's stats while they're active. example, ice's main buff is "Weak Guard of Ice", which adds a fixed number to your character's physical defense. the more ranks you put in this skill, the higher your physical defense is raised. some other things to think about in this case, since you want a strong PvP character, are the skills which insta-freeze your opponent. there's one which shoots a ball of ice at your opponent, and another which strikes the ground at your opponent's feet. both slow him/her dramatically, as they have a 100% chance of status effect.

FORCE:

if you like helping people, you gotta have force. the force passive skill raises your MaxMP, which is helpful of course. there's two heals in this force, a self-heal and a heal-other type spell. the latter is MUCH more effective and can be used on yourself as well simply by selecting yourself before you cast it. therefore the self-heal is a waste, and avoid it. the two other major force spells are Soul Rebirth (commonly known as "res" or "rez", standing for resurrection) and Harmony Therapy (the glowing circles you see people sitting in sometimes). res is great go have to help out friends, guild mates, or just random people who happen to fall to the weapons of the enemy. it's a great "carebear" skill, and i love helping people for no reason :) harmony is basically a circle which not only keeps monsters within a certain lvl range from aggroing people within the circle, it also accellerates the normal healing rate of anyone inside of it. two great skills to have. the last skill in the force tree is the Vital Spot series, which affects the target by lowering their stats in different ways; read the skill descriptions for more.

i hope that helps you out. i've never neeb an ice user, so i hope some other ice users will add to this and correct me if needed :)

A pure Str won't do well with a magical weapon doing magical damage. Kinda obvious, but perhaps you missed it. :)
